Akira Wyld

Akira Wyld is the youngest child of the legendary grappler Greco Wyld. Much like how his father helped define the classic, mat based, regional wrestling movement of the early 1980s, Akira helped to revolutionize the attitude-intensive, high impact in-ring style that became popular in the new millennium. Born with a chip on his shoulder and athletic ability to back up his mouth, Akira quickly rose to the top of the national wrestling scene. Shortly after his debut, winning the Pro Wrestling SHAFT world heavyweight championship at the young age of 24. However, a lack of maturity resulted in a premature end to his North American wrestling career. After a series of unprofessional no-shows and backstage flare-ups, Akira was stripped of his title in controversial fashion. In the following years, Akira developed a reputation as an unreliable performer, leading many key promotions to blacklist him from future bookings. Eventually, he left the North American wrestling scene, taking independent bookings in South America, Europe, and Japan. A successful series of matches against old rival Kazuma in Japan helped to rehabilitate his reputation, making him a sought-after draw around the world. Recently, Akira Wyld returned to the states. Older and wiser, but still hot-headed, Akira has come to PWA seeking validation… and possibly redemption for an immature past.

Brawler Beckett

A star who rose very quickly in promotions in England and Ireland, Beckett professes, and sometimes proves, training in catch-as-catch-can.  He suddenly moved on to Japan, though, after all-too-frequent accusations of underhanded “tactics.”  The hard style of Japan proved to suit the Brawler, though, and he built a reputation that got the attention of a couple of State-side promotions …

Robert MacElroy

“When I first met this kid, he was nothing but a brawler. He came up as what Glasgow calls a Hard Man, the kind who can take anything and deliver better than he got. Well, I saw potential in him, and I saw to it he got training. Now, he’s a Glasgow Hard Man who can brawl, wrestle classic, wrestle hard-style, anything you want. He’s got skills, and guts, but most of all, he’s got heart. And a little move he’s perfected, the Spring-Heeled Jack …” – “Seattle Superman” Lance Polanski

Brian Fury

Brian Fury hails from Harlem, New York and grew up loving professional wrestling. Fury began weightlifting to prepare himself for the big leagues but didn’t know the access point so began competing in and winning local Tough Man competitions as well as illegal underground fights. After dominating the circuits Fury was put in contact with Eddie Lukin and Lukin signed Fury to his promotion, Pro Wrestling Shaft.

Fury joined Pro Wrestling Shaft and made an immediate impact by ending the career of Inmate #5270 using his finisher (Fatal Fury – Emerald Flowsion) in his second match. Fury kept fighting fan favorites but was never given a title match despite winning consistently. Fury submitted paperwork to enter the PWS tournament to crown a Hardcore Champion but the office said they never received it. Livid, Fury abandoned the traditional style of wrestling and threw himself into the world of hardcore wrestling. Fury picked up many wins against notable names such as Damion Black, D-Man, and even pinned former PWS World Champion Kazuma during a televised 8-man tag team match. As Fury went on a tear of PWS the fans took notice and began cheering his extreme methods.

Brian Fury is one of the toughest wrestlers to ever set foot in a wrestling ring. He has no quit in him and will take two punches to land his best shot. Fury has a high pain threshold and also has tremendous strength which is displayed by the various suplexes and lariats he utilizes. Fury gives his all during every match and the fans appreciate him for it. Fury, however, does have a nasty streak and is prone to extreme acts of violence to prove his dominance.
