Derrik Arzon vs. Brawler Beckett

BLOOMFIELD: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to take you now to Terry Schneider, who is with Derrik Arzon to get his comments on his forthcoming match with Brawler Beckett. Terry?”

*The camera cuts away to the backstage interview area, where Terr Schneider and Derrik Arzon are standing by.

SCHNEIDER: “Derrik, you and Beckett have clearly chosen your respective sides in the conflict between PWA and the Union and tonight, you will be facing Beckett one-on-one, finally. What are your thoughts going into this match?”

ARZON: “Terry, you’re right, the lines have been drawn and Beckett and I are going to go out there to represent who we are loyal to. Beckett seems to think I’m still that young, gullible kid that showed up when PWA got started, but I have left that far behind. I’m not just “happy to be here” anymore. What I am is determined to make my legacy, make my name, and also stand up for what I know is right! And if Brawler Beckett thinks he’s going to have an easy time with me-”

*Arzon is suddenly thrown forward in the camera, which falls to the ground the sound of yelling and fighting can be heard. When the camera is finally picked up and brought back into focus, Beckett is seen standing over Arzon, a pair of brass knuckles in his hand. Arzon slowly tries to regain his feet. Beckett places his foot on Arzon’s head and forces him back down to the concrete, then drives his boot into Arzon’s skull multiple times. Beckett takes off the brass knuckles and smooths his hair back carefully, smirks at the camera, then Terry Schneider, and makes his way out to the ring.*

*Derrik Azon’s music plays and the crowd cheers loudly. Beckett is standing in the middle of the ring with hands on his hips grinning broadly. Arzon’s music continues to play. The crowd begins to grow restless. Arzon’s music stops, and Beckett holds his arms out and looks around. Derrik’s music plays again and again the crowd cheers. Beckett continues to look around, shrugging his shoulders when he can’t find Arzon. The crowd begins to boo. Beckett goes over to the referee and signals for him to begin a 10-count because his opponent hasn’t come to the ring. White and Beckett argue, and then White begins a 10-count. The crowd is raining boos down on Beckett, who is counting along with the ref. As the count reaches 5 a cheer begins to slowly swell from the crowd. Arzon has appeared on the ramp, on his hands and knees, crawling towards the ring. The crowd goes to full throat, willing Arzon on. Arzon reaches the mid-point of the ramp at 9 and collapses. Referee White counts 10 and signals for the bell, then raises Beckett’s hand in victory. The cheers turn to even louder boos as Beckett bows to the audience then exits the ring. Beckett starts up the ramp and pauses at Beckett’s prone body. Beckett looks down at Arzon, the grin on his face broadening. Beckett reaches down and grasps Arzon’s hand, then shakes it heartily, congratulating Beckett on their match, then raises Arzon’s hand to the crowd in mock sportsmanship. The crowd howls their boos at Beckett. Beckett drops Arzon’s hand and EMT’s rush from the backstage area, and Beckett exits up the ramp.*
