***The referee calls for the bell and motions to the back for security as Akira Wyld and Johnny Malibu put the boots to the Richard Pennyworth. Malibu drags the dazed technician to his feet and binds his arms tightly behind him as Akira Wyld taunts him with a smile on his face.***

BLOOMFIELD: “This is just disgusting folks! Akira Wyld has interfered in this match and once again screwed over Richard Pennyworth! I don’t know what to say here ladies and gentlemen… clearly THIS Johnny Malibu is not Akira Wyld… but these two are obviously in cahoots! Somebody needs to get down here right away and put a stop to this!”

***Akira holds out his arms and plays to the crowd. He cups his hand to his ear as a chorus of boos rains down on him. He makes a crybaby gesture with his hands and flips the crowd a double bird. Richard Pennyworth spits curses at him and struggles to free himself from Malibu’s grasp. Without warning, Akira dives at Pennyworth and levels him with a stiff Akira Kick. Pennyworth hits the ground hard, his bell clearly rung. Akira drops to his knees and badmouths Pennyworth off-mic.***

BLOOMFIELD: “This is just… just gross fans. Akira Wyld is despicable… and whoever this ‘Johnny Malibu’ is… he’s clearly a low-down snake as well. Can we cut to commercial here? Do we have to subject our viewers to this carnage?”

***Akira calls for a microphone. He beckons for Johnny Malibu to join him in the center of the ring, and drapes an arm over the masked man’s shoulder. Out of breath… Akira lifts the mic to his mouth and smirks.***

WYLD: “You know Pennyworth… I think my masked friend and I owe you a debt of gratitude. You see… last week at Assault, ‘Johnny Malibu’ was only working for PWA on a one-night deal. Assault was fun, but when that show went off the air, we didn’t figure PWA would see Johnny Malibu again. But then, you went to management… and requested a rematch.”

***Akira and Malibu turn to each other and laugh.***

WYLD: “I hear you went straight to the home office and ranted and raved about how you wanted to get Malibu in the ring one more time… and you were VERY persuasive. Must be nice to be connected. Pretty soon, Johnny Malibu started getting phone calls from PWA talent relations looking to sign him on for another run. Well… far be it from an enterprising young talent to look a gift horse in the mouth.”

***Johnny Malibu holds his arms out and does a slow spin around the ring.***

WYLD: “Ladies and gentlemen… feast your eyes on the newest FULL TIME member of the PWA roster! Let’s all give Richard Pennyworth a hand for his role in making this dream a reality!”

***The crowd boos and Johnny Malibu does a golf-clap in the middle of the ring.***

WYLD: “Now… for some well-deserved introductions. PWA fans… let me introduce you to one of the greatest untapped talents in professional wrestling. You’ve seen him perform under his given name, Johnathan Quincy Malibu… but from now on, you should probably refer to him by his chosen stage name…”

***Johnny Malibu dramatically unlaces the back of his mask… to reveal a familiar face.***

WYLD: “Bartholomew ‘Brawler’ Beckett!!!”

***Brawler Beckett take a deep bow and grins like a cat.***

BLOOMFIELD: “Oh NO! No this can’t be ladies and gentlemen! It appears as if somehow… Brawler Beckett has wormed his way back into a new PWA contract! To use his words… this is ‘heresy’. Someone down at PWA talent relations was clearly asleep at the wheel when this contract was drafted!”

***Beckett holds out his hand and takes Akira’s microphone. He soaks in a chorus of boos as the crowd greets him with cat-calls and thrown garbage. Akira Wyld feigns mock surprise and sneers at the multitudes as Beckett raises his microphone to speak.***

BECKETT: “My, my, my. You lot seem to have had the proverbial rug yanked from beneath you. But if you think you feel …. I CAN WAIT!” (long moments go by before the fans’ ruckus has died down enough for Beckett to speak.) “As I was saying, as badly as you lemmings feel to see me in my ring again, imagine … imagine how some others feel. Snowdrift, Panty-ho, Mr. Penneyworth here … (violent nudge to Penneyworth’s head,) … but more than that … imagine how Damion Black feels.

“He was all too eager to get rid of the likes of me. A free-thinker, an independent businessman, a classically trained competitor, but mostly …(more jeers from the fans) … mostly he wanted to stamp out not me, personally, no more than the esteemed Mr. Wyld here. No, what Mr. Black wanted to stamp out, truely … what he really fears … is any challenge, any threat, to his control, any threat to his imminent return to the ring.

“He only wants wrestlers here that he can either buy, buddy, or squash. Oh, I know that he’s ‘retired,’ but look at what he is doing to iNCW. Not only is he holding their heavyweight title hostage, but he had one of his lapdogs go and wrestle, actually compete, mind you, for their other title! I suppose next he will be sending two unfortunates to go and snatch their tag-team title, for all that is worth, but that is hardly the point. He wants a title, he goes and gets it, the bully snatching milk money from the defenseless nerds in the school yard. I hate those useless bastards, but why would I take anything from them? A worthless title from a worthless promotion? I would not! So why does Black?

“Because he wants it, and what he wants, he is used to getting. He wants a title, he has one. He wants a promotion, he has one. He wants an army of sycophants, he has one. He wants absolute him-first loyalty, he has it … except for the two of us.

“Because we refuse to have our careers rules over by that faux pharo! Because, of all the wrestlers here, we have our own vision of the future, and it is not Black’s! And THAT… frightens him.

“Nice to be back, loves.”

***Beckett throws his microphone down and he and Akira Wyld raise their arms in triumph in the center of the ring.***

BLOOMFIELD: “I don’t know what else to say fans… with these two working together as active, contracted competitors… I shudder to think of the kind of trouble they will be able to cause here in PWA. Stay tuned… we have more Assault for you after this break.”
