***The camera fades in to backstage to where the Union, minus Brawler Beckett, is holed up in their locker room. They are obviously in the middle of a conversation when the camera turns on.***
NICK SPOILS: “Look, Akira. We started this whole thing together, you and I. But you’re a wrestler, not a manager. You’re acting without thinking. You’re the one who lost us the ability to challenge for the PWA Heavyweight title. You’re the one who lost us the ability to challenge for the World title. Those offers, those stipulations? That’s not something a competent manager would accept.”
AKIRA WYLD: “It’s MY fault we can’t challenge for the World Title? YOU were the one that sent Gehenna out to interfere in my match with Watts! A match I had in hand by the way! If ANYONE is to blame for us being locked out of the title picture, it’s you!”
SPOILS: “Akira, you’re not hearing me. You added stipulations to matches that you didn’t need to add. If you had gone over all this with me beforehand, we could have had a strategy worked out. But no. You just DO things and expect us to fall in line. If you hadn’t added the stipulation against Watts, we wouldn’t have… “
***Spoils is interrupted by a knock at the door, and he pauses mid-thought. All four men look at each other briefly before Spoils goes to open the door. As he pulls it open, he is bull-rushed by the man outside the door — Spencer Watts. Watts knocks Spoils over as he runs past, holding a long length of pipe in his hand. He makes a beeline for Gehenna with the pipe, and actually manages to connect with the man’s leg before anyone can react to the rush. Gehenna goes down from the attack, and Watts is able to lay a couple additional blows, nailing him in the side and the back before Nakamura Yamasaki intervenes. Nakamura pulls back on Watts’ arm holding the pipe, and Watts turns to his new foe, trying to wrest the pipe away. Failing to do so, he lays a kick towards Nakamura, who takes the blow with a grunt but little other reaction. The distraction has allowed Gehenna to recover from the initial assault, and he stands back up with rage on his face. As Nakamura yanks the pipe out of Watts’ hand, Gehenna grabs Watts and pulls him in. There’s a moment’s hesitation, then he yanks Watts up off the ground, and using his partner’s move, drives him back into the ground with an Awaken the Serpent. Gehenna gives a couple more quick kicks before he and Nakamura pick him up and toss him back out of the room. Spoils locks the door behind him, and turns to Akira.***
SPOILS: “He interrupts one of our meetings. You’re just going to stand there and watch?”
AKIRA: “Your boys seemed to have everything under control. Wouldn’t want to act without thinking, now would I?”
***The camera lingers on the two staring at each other for about fifteen seconds, slowly fading to black.***
