GARY BLOOMFIELD: “Folks we are going to take you to some previously recorded comments from the World Champion, “Outlaw” Billy Cody.”

(There stands the Outlaw, the title strap hanging across his right shoulder. His old, beat-up Stetson is worn low over his eyes as he paces back and forth across the screen a plug of chewing tobacco in his mouth.)

BC: “Spencer Watts, huh? Spencer Watts. KEN-tucky boy. You want this here, huh? You want my belt. Well, so’s evurbody. You been clawin’ an’ a-scratchin’ your way to me, huh?”

(Stops suddenly and turns toward the camera, off-center, forcing the camera to jerk right to center him.)

BC: “Well, come on, boy! You ain’t the first, you sure’s Hell ain’t gon’ be the last! I heard what you hadda say, well now you listen tuh ME! You’s right about ONE thang! I AM snort /HAAAAAW/ the TOUGHEST, MEANEST, ORNERIEST SUNOVABITCH IN THA WHOLE DAMN WORLD! That’s what THIS belt on THIS shoulder means! You might reach for it, you might try an’ grab a-holt of it, but you ain’t never, NEVER gonna get this belt offa me!”

(CODY stalks closer to the camera, tobacco leaking from his mouth into his mutton chops, veins popping out on his neck. He grabs his hat and throws in on the ground, glaring into the camera lense, a big blue vein snaking down from his hairline to his brow.)

BC: “You gone toe-to-toe with a whole lotta good rasslers, but when you step YOUR ass in MY ring, you ain’t gotta worry about me tryin’ ta out grapple ya! You bes’ get your ass ready for a FIGHT! I am the BEST at clawin’ an’ bitin’, scratchin’ an’ fightin’, ‘cause while YOU been a-doin’ that all your career, I done done it ALL MY LIFE! I’m gonna tear you limb from limb, limb from limb! I’m gonna beat the sh*t outta you, then I’m gonna beat you fer sh*ttin’!”

(CODY rares back and spits tobacco all over the camera lense. The cameraman gives an audible wretch.)

BC: “So bring your best, boy! Come on! Cuz I’m here to tell you, YOU AIN’T HAD ENOUGH BREAKFAST FER THAT!”
