STOCKHOLM: “Mr. Black, in a few moments you are going to face the woman you fought beside all season to fight for the King of Deathmatch crown. What are your thoughts heading into this match?”

BLACK: “You know as well as anyone the history I have with the Wylds. To say that history is tumultuous would be putting it lightly. In spite of all the bad blood I have with her brother, Alyssa and I managed to put our differences aside and fight side by side. That’s something I was not sure she would be able to do. If I’m honest, that’s not something I was sure *I’d* be able to do. But we both understand this business and what is at stake tonight. We each have a goal and we worked together to see that goal through.

“Now, there is one last step to take and that step is right through each other. No matter what happens tonight, Alyssa Wyld has earned my respect, the only Wyld to really do so. And it is out of that respect that I am going to give Alyssa everything I have left. There will be no mercy, there will be no stepping aside. To do that would undermine the respect Alyssa has earned from me. She deserves a certain level of competition that only I can grant her.

“Alyssa, no matter what happens in our match, you have my respect and admiration. I’m going to bring my very best into this match. You had better be prepared for it.”
