BLOOMFIELD: “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m getting word that there is some sort of a commotion going on backstage… yes… yes I’m being told that there are PWA cameras rolling right now, and… yes… folks I’m going to send you backstage now where PWA reporter Ronnie Stockholm is on hand with what appears to be a serious situation backstage.”

***The feed cuts to the view from a shaky backstage camera jogging down a hallway toward a huddle of medical personnel and backstage officials. They are crowded over the unconscious body of PWA Heavyweight Champion Robert MacElroy. The Scotsman is lying on his side with a visible blunt trauma laceration across his forehead. Medical staff are stabilizing his head and neck as ring staff mull about frantically.***

STOCKHOLM: “Gary, I’m outside the locker room area and it appears as if the PWA Champion has been attacked by an unknown party! Just a few moments ago, a commotion was heard in this hallway and upon investigation, Robert MacElroy was found, unconscious and badly beaten. Physicians are attending to him as we speak but Gary, I have to wonder what this means for our main event this evening.”

***Just then, NWC Champion Akira Wyld appears from around the corner and comes upon the frantic scene. Ronnie Stockholm approaches the champion with a raised microphone.***

STOCKHOLM: “Akira Wyld, just days ago, in an interview you threatened Kevin Starr and Robert MacElroy. You said that at Assault you and Nakamura Yamasaki would make both of them ‘pay their Union Dues’. Did you and your allies have anything to do with this vicious backstage attack?”

***Akira takes a step back and glares at Stockholm with a disgusted look.***

WYLD: “Who the HELL do you think you are Stockholm? What gives you the right to insinuate that the NWC World Champion would stoop so low as to attack his opponent before a match as important as this?”

STOCKHOLM: “Please Mr. Wyld. You and your associates have been attacking PWA Superstars for weeks.”

WYLD: “There’s a time and a place Stockholm. I’m the NWC title holder. You think I’d jeopardize a chance to prove my natural born superiority to this company’s so-called champions live in front of a packed arena? No way. You know what this REALLY is? This is just one more in an endless series of examples of how Damion Black puts his profits above the safety of his employees. Clearly Robert MacElroy is a victim of an unsafe work environment. Black can’t be bothered to keep these hallways clean and clear and now his Heavyweight Champion has taken a fall… tripped over an exposed cord and suffered a debilitating injury. And now, our main event is in jeopardy. Well… some champions may be willing to postpone a match of this magnitude due to a little boo boo… but not the NWC WORLD champ. So Kevin Starr… it looks to me like you’ve got yourself a HANDICAP match tonight against Nakamura and the Surgical Specialist. It’s a tough break for all of us Stockholm… but we’ll find some way to pull through. Now out of my way… I’ve got a match to get ready for.”

***Wyld pushes past Stockholm and steps on and over the fallen Robert MacElroy as he makes his way down the hall. End scene.***
