"Come on, he's down this hall!"
*** TERRY SCHNEIDER beckons a cameraman as both men hurry along a corridor. ***
SCHNEIDER: "There! Spoiler! Spoiler, a minute, please!"
*** Schneider and his cameraman hurry to reach the Spoiler III. Spoiler steps outside of his locker room and closes the door, waiting for Schneider to catch up to him.***
TS: "Spoiler, you have shocked PWA with your actions this past Assault. Why did you disrupt the match between Robert MacElroy and Viktor Sokolov?"
SPOLIER III: "Come on, Gary, you're a smart guy. Don't ask such obvious questions. Why do you THINK I disrupted that match?"
TS: "You want the PWA Heavyweight title."
*** The Spoiler III's eyes roll, and then narrow down at Schneider. ***
S3: "Terry, I may have given you too much credit. Sokolov still has the Heavyweight belt, right? That's Viktor Sokolov, who has not yet lost a match in PWA since getting that strap at Warfare. Viktor Sokolov, who has been dismantling opponent after opponent this entire season. Why would I act in a way that keeps the belt on Sokolov? Wouldn't the smaller, less dominant, more MEDIOCRE Robert MacElory make a much easier target than Viktor Sokolov? So if this was about titles, why would I not HELP MacElory gain the Heavyweight championship and then take the title from him instead of Sokolov? No, this has nothing to do with the Heavyweight championship.
"The answer is really very simple. I did what I did for the very reason we are all in this sport, whether anyone else will admit it or not. I did this for money. And before you ask, no, no one hired me to ruin the match. You see, there are a couple of things you need to be a financial success in this sport. One of them is notoriety. Attention. If everyone is talking about you, everyone wants to see you in the ring, whether they want you to win or lose, they will pay to see you in the ring. That makes you a hot commodity, in demand, you see? And when you're in demand, well, you can demand more from your contracts. And right now, who is everyone talking about? That's right, The Spoiler! Now, another thing that helps create financial success is something that is understood by celebrities and athletes worldwide, but sadly misunderstood in the world of pro wrestling. You do need good MANAGEMENT. Up until recently, I was a lone wolf. I did fine for myself, but I was still looking for that missing piece. I finally found the financial partner I was looking for and together we are going to break banks and backs."
TS: "You mean you hired a manager?"
S3: "The details of my contract are confidential. However, I CAN say I am associated with the biggest and most successful management company in professional wrestling today, Dinkle International Enterprises. Mr. Dinkle?"
"... Dinkle ... International ... Enterprises."
*** The camera shot opens and pans slightly to include MARTY DINKLE, dressed as "impeccably" as ever. ***
MARTY DINKLE: "That's absolutely right, Mr. Three! We at D.I.E. never rest on our laurels! We're always advancing, ever forward. I see potential, drive, and profitability, and my latest client, here, has all of that in spades!
"There have been others recently who have caught my eye and been pursued, but despite having some of these qualities, they didn't cut the mustard. Robert McDonald had plenty of talent, but lacked da vision to follow my lead. Dat's why he was made an example of. Besides, it was clear throughout that match that he didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell, anyhow. And as for the La La Trucks, they clearly lack drive. Heck, what I mistook for talent was clearly luck, and that seems to have dried up like beef jerky.
"So talent, be on the look out! If I come for you with a contract, get ready to sign and shine! If one of my boys comes for you ... well, just make sure your insurance is all paid up. AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
