Tiger Gold desires competition... and the PWA Heavyweight Championship will be defended next week on Assault!

***The scene opens backstage at the PWA Arena. The PWA Champion Tiger Gold stands in front of a sparkling purple and gold backdrop.***

GOLD: “When I won the PWA Heavyweight Championship, I made it my mission to be a fighting champion. I vowed to defend my title as frequently as possible, and to set an example of excellence to be followed by all PWA Champions. To that end, on Assault, I formally challenged The Spoiler to face me in the ring and stake his earned claim to my title. I am disappointed that The Spoiler chose to allow himself to be counted out and forfeit his opportunity. I cannot pretend to understand the machinations in that dastardly man’s mind.”

***Gold shakes his head and makes a fist.***

GOLD: “But his games cannot concern me. It may be that our story has yet to reach its conclusion. However... I have a championship to defend and that means that for now my mission will go on without him. Kevin Starr and Nakamura Yamasaki have already boldly stepped forward to face their destiny. But there is an entire locker room full of deserving warriors eager to fight for this industry’s greatest prize. With that in mind, I will be appearing on PWA Assault this coming week. As I did last week and on Battery... I will stand in the ring and challenge any competitor who dares to come down that aisle and claim their opportunity at the PWA Heavyweight Championship. Any man or woman who desires to etch their name on the stone tableau of the immortals may stand opposite Tiger Gold and fight atop the mountain in the shadow of destiny.”

***Gold lifts his belt toward the camera.***

GOLD: “This is the PWA Championship. It has been forged in the fires of righteous combat. As long as I am this organization’s champion, I vow that those who deserve to fight on the stage of the immortals will have the opportunity to do so. So join me on this journey PWA Armada.
