Tiger Gold is looking for the PWA Heavyweight Champion...

***The scene opens backstage at the PWA Arena. Backstage reporter Ronnie Stockholm is standing with PWA legend, Tiger Gold. The large masked wrestler is pacing and adjusting his wrist tape.***

RONNIE STOCKHOLM: “Tiger Gold, it has already been a wild and unpredictable season here in PWA. The King of Deathmatch is underway, we have crowned a new NWC World Champion, and Ronnie Lassiter has began his journey as PWA Heavyweight Champion.”

***Tiger Gold growls under his breath.***

STOCKHOLM: “You’ve been a vocal critic of Ronnie Lassiter and his association with PWA Owner Damion Black. As a close friend and confidant of Brian Fury, it must have been difficult to see him lose his championship title at PWA Black.”

***Gold nods and turns toward Stockholm.***

GOLD: “To fight and strive and fall is the way of the warrior, Ronnie Stockholm. Few know that better than Tiger Gold. My brother-in-arms Brian Fury was a brave and honorable champion. There was no shame in falling in comabt to a warrior with the might and muscle of Ronnie Lassiter. Indeed... I congratulate Ronnie Lassiter on his hard earned and well deserved ascension to championship glory.”

***Gold makes a solemn fist.***

GOLD: “However... I sense our PWA Heavyweight Champion stands at a crossroads that could ultimately result in his downfall. Ronnie Lassiter is a young and impressionable warrior. He has pride and ambition... and while those can be motivating traits... they can also prove to make one easy to manipulate. I have worked for Damion Black for a long time. Like many promoters, he is a complex man with many facets. He is a genius and a manipulator in every sense of the word. He knows how to motivate men to work toward his own ends. And Ronnie Lassiter is now in his sway. A more experienced competitor may successfully walk the line such a union requires. But I have seen Ronnie Lassiter’s fortitude and integrity wither under Damion Black’s heavy hand.”

STOCKHOLM: “Last week you attempted to talk to Ronnie Lassiter. How did that work out for you?”

GOLD: “He has proved elusive. Already Damion Black seeks to tighten his grip. He desires to keep Ronnie Lassiter from communicating with anyone who’s opinion might weaken his deceitful grasp on the heavyweight champion.”

STOCKHOLM: “What is next for you then?”

GOLD: “I must remain ever vigilant. There are many ways to motivate a man to act. Damion Black is not the only one who can take advantage of a man’s pride and ego to force a confrontation. At Assault this coming week... I will have words with our PWA Champion. One way or another.”

***Gold nods at the camera and walks away. Fade to black.***
