BLOOMFIELD: "Ladies and gentlemen, Prestige Wrestling Association has issued a statement for immediate release. 'In regard to the controversy surrounding the PWA Heavyweight Championship, it is noted that the championship committee did issue a contract intended to be signed by Brian Fury and PWA Heavyweight Champion Richard Pennyworth, III. The championship committee did observe that Richard Pennyworth, III and Rhett Holiday did sign said contract for a title match to take place at the PWA Vendetta event. This was not the championship committee's intention. Nevertheless, the contract is legally binding.
"'In an effort to correct this matter, the championship committee did authorize the PWA Heavyweight title match between Brian Fury and Richard Pennyworth, III that took place on the August 22nd edition of PWA Assault. The championship committee did observe that Rhett Holiday did interfere with and disrupt that title match. It is therefore the decision of the championship committee that the PWA Heavyweight title match scheduled as the main event for PWA Vendetta shall be amended as follows:
"'The PWA Heavyweight championship shall be contested under 3-Way Dance rules. PWA Heavyweight Champion Richard Pennyworth, III will defend the PWA Heavyweight championship against both Brian Fury and Rhett Holiday under elimination match rules: the match will continue until two competitors are eliminated from contention via pinfall or submission. Once a competitor has been eliminated from contention, he must leave the ring and may no longer compete or interfere or otherwise disrupt the PWA Heavyweight championship match. To ensure a definitive champion at the conclusion of this match, the stipulations of no disqualification and no outside count will be enforced. The nullification of pins and submission holds via rope break will be at senior referee Bill White's discretion. The championship committee wishes good luck to all three competitors and may the best man win.'"

Re: Vendetta Main Event Announcement
Richard Pennyworth III is seen walking towards the office of his financial company when he is chased down by Terry Schneider. Pennyworth sees him coming, rolls his eyes, but waits for him and the cameraman to catch up.
PENNYWORTH: As your question, Schneider.
TERRY: Mr. Pennyworth, I'm here to get your reaction to the PWA's decision about the Heavyweight Championship match.
Pennyworth looks at him in confusion for a long moment. He then shakes his head.
PENNYWORTH: Are you going to enlighten me, or are you going to make me hunt down the news on my phone while you stare at me like a scared little child?
TERRY: Oh, uh, I thought you knew. They have declared that since Rhett Holiday interfered in your match with Brian Fury on Assault, that the match at Vendetta is going to be a triple threat elimination match.
Pennyworth turns and starts stalking away as the sound shifts to a lengthy series of high-pitched tones. After a few steps, Pennyworth turns back to the camera that has been following him.
PENNYWORTH: This...this crap is EXACTLY what I was trying to avoid. I wanted to play headgames with Fury, and instead, we got that lunatic Holiday thinking he's what it's all about, trying to shrink us both, to get under our skins. But a triple threat match? That's not a good gamble. That's not a deal I would take. I'll tell you, I have half a mind to pull a Wyld and refuse to defend the title. Let Fury and Holiday fight it out, I say, and I'll take the winner in a proper championship match
PENNYWORTH: But no. We've all seen what happens to champions who refuse to defend their belts. They get stripped of them. And I've worked too hard and too long to earn the Heavyweight crown to give it up like a chump. So, and get this on camera, Schneider...at Vendetta, I will outwrestle the oaf Fury. I will use my technique to break through the lunatic Holiday. And I WILL walk out STILL your Heavyweight Champion. My brains and my skills are far superior to either of them, and I will prevail.
TERRY: Uh...just so you know, they also made it a no disqualification, no countout match.
Pennyworth stares down Terry. Just stares at him. Eventually, Terry gets visibly uncomfortable.
TERRY: Uh, I guess that's it from the PWA Heavyweight Champion. Thank you, Mr. Pennyworth....Cut. CUT!
