Pennyworth responds to Alpha Omega

[Pennyworth]

Richard Pennyworth is seen walking backstage before Assault in his typical three-piece suit, a square leather duffel bag in his hands. He is stopped by PWA Announcer Terry Schneider, who holds a microphone in his hands.

PENNYWORTH: Let me guess. You have a couple of quick questions for me?

TERRY: Yes, if you would be so kind.

PENNYWORTH: Sure, why not? I've got time.

TERRY: You've been remarkably quiet since you defeated The Spoiler at the end of season 5. And when you looked to be trying to make a big return, you were ambushed and attacked by Alpha Omega.

PENNYWORTH: That's not a question, but I see where you are leading. Yes, I took my time after taking out The Spoiler. He'd done a lot of damage to my company, my brand, and my reputation. I had a lot to see to in order to rectify that situation, and it pulled me from being able to focus on PWA. But I've now gotten that taken care of, and I came back with a fire. My plan was to take down MacElroy, and work my way through the roster and hopefully be able to challenge Tiger Gold for the Heavyweight belt. I miss having gold around my waist. But then, Alpha Omega made their presence felt.

He turns to face the camera directly.

PENNYWORTH: So, let me be perfectly clear. Mac and I don't really see eye to eye, and I'm not sure we'll ever consider each other a friend. But I feel damned sure I speak for him as well when I say we're not going to sit back and let such a direct provocation go unanswered. Alpha Omega, just remember at the end of all this that it was you who started it. Tonight is just the first taste. And Mac...I know you miss the weight of that belt as much as I do. They laid down the challenge, and I for one intend to see it through. If you're in, you know where to find me. Terry, good chat.

Pennyworth grabs his bag and walks off without any further hesitation.

TERRY: Well, there you have it, folks. Pennyworth seems determined to go for the Tag Team championship. Looks like Alpha Omega may get their wish after all.
