A statement from the PWA Championsip Committee has just been released regarding the PWA Heavyweight Title challenge made by champion Ronnie Lassiter to would-be challenger Tiger Gold. And I quote, 'While the Committee is encouraged by Mr. Lassiter's willingness to defend his Heavyweight title on short notice, the Committee must assert it's role in organizing title matches. Therefore, the Committee must regretfully nullify champion Ronnie Lassiter's title challenge to Tiger Gold for the present time. Please be assured that the Committee will announce any and all title matches through the appropriate channels.'
