Season of Thanks

[Rhett Holiday]

The camera opens on a large wooden door with a slight glow seeping out from around the hinges and the key hole under the iron doorknob. The sound of children laughing fills the room as their shadows dance in the light below the door. The heavy wooden door then opens revealing a long wooden table covered in a lavish feast with every traditional holiday dish. The entire mahogany room is lit by two large chandeliers hanging high from the ceiling. The twins dance and play until Rhett Holiday motions them to be seated. He then looks at the camera as the children take their seats and giggle.

Holiday: "It's a bitter-sweet time of year. A time when families gather to be thankful for both their successes and failures over the past year. A time of year when families gather to celebrate one another and give gifts and be merry."

The twins begin to fill their plates and smile as Rhett speaks.

Holiday: "Fortunately my family needs not indulge in these lies, the falsifications, and the abortion that this season has always been. We feast on this evening in honor an thanks of the sacrifice PWA management has given us. Mitch Garrison, a virtual unknown and one of the last glimmers of hope that's left flickering has been offered up to be extinguished. And I accept this sacrifice."

A devilish grin creeps across the face as he takes a sip from his glass of bourbon. The Boy with his mouth full of food looks inquisitively at Rhett.

The Boy: "When is the Snow man coming back? He ha to leave so soon and we didn't get to give him a proper nose!"

The Girl: "Yes Mr. Holiday. We were having so much fun before he was taken away!"

Rhett smiles and dabs the food from the corner of each of their mouths.

Holiday: "Don't you worry little ones, the season of giving and thanks looks to be a bountiful one for those in the darkness."

Both Twins: "Yay! New toys!"

Holiday: "Yes, all the toys than you will know what to do with... And I promise they'll never leave again"

Rhett laughs as a strong wind blows through the room blowing out all of the lights with only the cherry of Holidays cigar lighting the dark room as it fills with the laughter of the three.
