Holiday Accepts

[Rhett Holiday]

The sound of the twins playing echo through the halls as their dress shoes tap against the concrete floors and their laughter bounces off of every stone in the walls. Rhett Holiday sits in his leather chair in an all but empty room, with a cigar in mouth he lets out a plume of smoke.

Holiday: "Heart and drive... I removed the weakness known as heart a long time ago. The heart brings hope and false ideals into a world that has no room for them. The heart tells you lies that you can keep pushing through no matter the adversity. The heart leads blindly down a path that ends in the inevitable."

Holiday stands up and begins to unbutton his dress shirt. He reveals a scar down his chest.

Holiday: "I had no need for those falsifications so I removed the weakness and let it burn out."

As Holiday sits back down and puts out his cigar, he grabs a book from the end table and begins thumbing through the pages.

Holiday: "Hmm, Drive. To send, expel, or otherwise cause to move by force or compulsion. This is what you bring to the table Nieve? Do you know what drives you? I don't think you do. Let me explain the drive that I bring to this industry. What drives me is destruction, complete and utter annihilation of all things good an heroic in this world! What drives me is knowing that in my future all of the sheeps eyes will be opened to the farce that the likes of you, Arzon, and Snow amongst other parade through their lives!"

Holiday throws the book and flips the table over sending ash, paper, and glass flying.

Holiday: "You all claim I have bitten off more than I can chew?! You know nothing about us! You know nothing about the sacrifices we have made! I will teach them all! We will show them what its like to Fall!"

A blue ball bounces through the room just in view of the camera. Holiday relaxes and takes a deep breath smiling just before there is a scream from the camera man and the camera falls to the floor. The picture regains its focus and the two twins are knelt down in front of the lens.

Twins in unison: "We really did enjoy playing with you Miss Nieve. We can't wait for our next play date! See you soon!"
