Unsettling Times

[Rhett Holiday]

A single light bulb illuminates over head of the twins. The Boy holding a rubber blue ball and The Girl smiling at the camera, they both start to giggle.

The Boy: "We really enjoyed meeting all of the sheep during our first show."

The Girl: "Yes, it was a real treat that we rarely get to experience. So many mindless creatures in one place."

Both in unison: " But most of all, we enjoyed playing with you La Nieve."

Both begin to giggle again and the light turns out. When all the lights in the room turn on, the rubber ball is left bouncing and the children are gone. Rhett Holiday steps in wearing his white suit. The camera pans up just as Holiday catches the ball then smirks.

Holiday: "Energetic little tikes aren't they, La Nieve. While I feel some remorse for your unscheduled play date with my little friends, I just couldn't have you in the way of the business myself and Arzon have."

Holiday makes his way to a mahogany colored leather seat and makes himself comfortable as he lights a cigar.

Holiday: "Arzon, you have this light about you. You shine so bright for all of these sheep. I won't fault you because I don't believe you know just how dangerous that is. Yes you may give them a beacon of hope, but you at the same time blind them from the real world. You blind them from violence, from pain, from suffering."

Holiday takes a puff of his cigar. The smoke parts from his face revealing his sinister grin as he exhales.

Holiday: "You blind them from people like.... Me. And again, I don't fault you, but just the same you and anyone else like you must be snuffed out. There are vile, vicious, and malicious things in the darkness. I need the sheep to see them. I need the light to be extinguished so that the sheep can truly understand the world they live in. Only then are you truly alive."

Holiday moves to stand but stops for a moment and rests back in his chair.

Holiday with a growl in his voice: "Titus Love... You infatuated, muscle bound, passion drunk waste of flesh. Know that The Fallen One does not take his loss to you lightly. You come to my world, my realm of existence that is already plagued by hope, and you dare to do it in with a lethal dose of Love? Rest assured that we are far from done with you and this movement or whatever you claim to be here for. We will see you again and Love will Fall."


The room goes dark

[Ameronth]

The scene opens up in a PWA locker room after Assault. Derrik Arzon sits on a bench with ice packs on his right shoulder and his left knee. He is silent and still for a while, then he turns his head up toward the camera.

ARZON: "La Nieve, congratulations on your win tonight. You fought hard for it and it was well-deserved. I don't know what those kids were doing out there, but I let them distract me and so I don't think I was the level of opponent you deserved out there tonight, and that I regret. I want to get back in the ring with you again soon and be a competitor worthy of your skill. Soon, but first...

"Rhett Holiday, I really have no idea what your itch is because I can't decipher the psycho-babble you vomit, but I think I can gather that you have some problem with me. I have no idea what or why, I've never done anything to you. I respect you as a competitor. But if you have a problem with me, I ain't a hard guy to find and I guarantee I will give you the fight of your life. I am no one's stepping stone and I don't take any adversity lying down! Just ask Brawler Beckett what kind of fighter I am! You wanted my attention, well now you got it!"

"But I've seen what you do. I know the kind of man you are. You like to play games, slink in the shadows, and attack people from behind. I don't expect a fair fight from you, but if it's a fight you want, then step up to me in the ring, straightforward, head-on and I'll give you a fight you won't believe! The thing is that I don't think you have that in you. So play your games, stalk in your shadows, because sooner or later I will corner you, and when that time comes, we will settle ALL our differences!"

[Snow]

Snow and La Nieve stand together in Snow's training area. Snow takes the lead as the camera fades up.

SNOW: Mr. Arzon, La Nieve would like you to know that your efforts were honorable and that you were both distracted by the children. Nevertheless, she agrees that she would like to face you in combat once more at some point in the future. She feels, however, that at this point, both of your efforts should be directed towards Rhett Holiday. These children apparently are quite...unsettling...and she has refused to discuss with me what happened when she was in their custody other than to say that it was not an experience she cares to repeat. But she lays their actions solely at the feet of Rhett Holiday. Mr. Holiday, You appear to have a knack for biting off more than any one person should try to chew, but you now have the attention of a large portion of the PWA roster. And she would like you to know that while you may have more experience and more deviousness, she unquestionably has more heart and more drive -- and should you decide to show up in the ring, she will show you that heart and drive first hand.
