The Wyld Family makes an impact on Assault...

***The scene opens in the halls of the PWA Arena shortly after the conclusion of this week’s Assault broadcast. The Wyld Family is making their way down the hall away from the trainer’s room. Rebel is in the lead, with an ice pack taped to his shoulder. As he walks he flexes the fingers of his right hand and gingerly tests his strained rotator cuff. He is followed by his sister Alyssa, who has a towel hung loosely over her shoulders and is in deep debate with her daughter Nikki who trails behind, wearing a My Chemical Romance tank-top and a skirt over fishnet stockings.***

NIKKI: “I’m just saying, if it was me in the ring tonight, maybe we wouldn’t be starting off our PWA career with a big L on the scoreboard. No offense mom, but you haven’t wrestled in the states for awhile and these PWA guys are on the next level. I’ve been following this show for three seasons. You’ve gotta step up your game.”

ALYSSA: “Nikki we’ve been over this. You’re seventeen. That means as of now, you only have a provisional, part-time PWA contract. You won’t even be considered an active competitor on the roster for two more weeks.”

NIKKI: “Which is total bullcrap by the way. Because of that stupid mandatory waiting period, that means I’m locked out of the tag-team title tournament too!”

REBEL: “You have plenty of time this season to make a mark Nikki. I’m going to try to talk to Damion Black about getting you a singles match of some sort next Assault. In the meantime, we need to focus on adapting to the PWA style and being at our best when the Beat the Clock tag tournament starts. We did well tonight. Be proud of that.”

ALYSSA: “That’s right. The Coldsnakes are former champions, and we took them to their limit for 30 min out there tonight.”

NIKKI: “Yeah, like dragging a match out to 30 min is worth bragging about when you’re gearing up for a BEAT THE CLOCK match.”

ALYSSA: “Stow that attitude young lady or I swear I’ll bench you for the whole season.”

NIKKI: “Geeze, sorry mom. It’s just... I want us to make an impact here! I want to make uncle Akira see how awesome we all are. We don’t have to always be at each others’ throats ya know?”

REBEL: “Akira is not why we’re here in PWA Nikki.”

NIKKI: “Yeah, that’s a lie.”

REBEL: “Okay, okay... IMPRESSING Akira isn’t why we’re here. We’re here, because that selfish jackass has dragged the name of the Wyld Wrestling Family through the dirt for too long. We’re here because we need to remind the world that the name Wyld stands for honor and integrity and fighting spirit.”

NIKKI: “Right. Right. And... of course, promoting the three new schools we just opened up on a big ole’ national wrestling show is just a bonus right?”

REBEL: “You’re smart Nikki... but you’re also a pain in my ass. You know that?”

NIKKI: “I’m reminded of that every day.”

ALYSSA: “The point is, the Wyld Family is more than just Akira. And for too long, he’s been allowed to just run his mouth. Well, that ends now. From here on out, the Wylds are staking their claim and setting a positive example of what wrestling should be.”

NIKKI: “I saw you grab that chair during the match mom.”

ALYSSA: “It’s pro wrestling Nikki, not ballet. And that jerk Cobra spit green mist in my face. Even after you and I rescued him from Agrabah. Next time I see him I’m caving his head in with a chair. That’s not mean, that’s just business.”

NIKKI: “Clearly I still have a lot to learn about wrestling.”

***The Wyld Family continue to make their way down the hall as the screen fades to black.***
