***The scene opens backstage at PWA Assault. NWC World Champion Akira Wyld paces back and forth with purpose in front of the PWA interview set. He is wearing a charcoal gray leather jacket and has his shiny NWC Championship belt slung over one shoulder. He crosses the frame several times before finally settling center-screen. He turns to the camera with laser focus and scowls.***

WYLD: “For the past season, The Union has been showing Damion Black and the PWA locker room what happens when you don’t give the cream of the crop their due. With FORCE and PURPOSE… we’ve been demonstrating to THE WORLD what happens when a company doesn’t take care of its hardest working, most talented, blue-chip athletes. Week in and week out we have DOMINATED the competition. And look at where we stand now… on the cusp of PWA’s season ending supercard… Tag-Team gold firmly in hand. The WORLD championship tightly in our grasp… and we… are just getting started.”

***Wyld points at the camera and closes one eye.***

WYLD: “Robert MacElroy… the ‘Hard Man’. For the past season you’ve stood tall with the PWA Heavyweight Title around your waist. And I’ll give the devil his due… you’ve been a ‘serviceable’ champion. You beat Kevin Starr and told your little Cinderella story. You’ve taken on all comers this season, successfully defending your championship every time you’ve stepped in the ring. But you know one thing you haven’t done Scotsman? You know one man you haven’t beaten in all your time as champ? ME. It’s time to face the truth Mac. Look at my trajectory since I joined PWA. You know that the only reason you’re the Heavyweight Champion and I’m not is that in three seasons I’ve never been given a one-on-one shot at that title. That ends tomorrow night. This weekend at Assault, you face the one and only Surgical Specialist, one-on-one in the ring. Now… tomorrow your precious Heavyweight title may not be on the line… but you know what is? The right for one man to call himself the UNDISPUTED king of this sport.”

***Akira Wyld picks his title off of his shoulder and holds it up to the camera.***

WYLD: “You see this MacElroy? This is the NWC World Heavyweight Championship. This belt means that I am the recognized STANDARD BEARER for all of professional wrestling. You want to call yourself the best heavyweight in the world? According to the National Wrestling Council, you have to pin ME to make that happen.”

***Akira looks at the belt and frowns.***

WYLD: “I’m going to say something that might surprise you Hard Man. You know that old adage, ‘What do you get for the man who has everything?’ I may be the man to beat in this industry... but there is something that I want, and you've got it. For all my accolades, I’ve never held the PWA Heavyweight Championship. I’ll be DAMNED if I’m going to let a slight like that stand for long. Mark my words, one day I will take that title from you. But until that day comes, I’m going to have to satisfy myself by humbling you and taking a moral victory.”

***Akira whips the belt back over his shoulder and sneers at the camera.***

WYLD: “So listen up you overrated joke. At Assault, I’m going to destroy every ounce of credibility you’ve managed to scratch together over the past three seasons. I’m going to prove to the world once and for all that I am THE champion of champions in this sport. I am going to do what I do EACH and EVERY night. I’m going to win… because I’m Akira Wyld… and that’s what champions do.”

***Akira slaps his belt and stares cooly at the camera as the screen fades to black.***
