Re: Regarding Johnny Malibu

***The scene opens with Akira Wyld watching Richard Pennyworth’s interview on a backstage monitor. As the interview finishes, Akira turns to face the camera with a smirk on his face.***

WYLD: “Well... aren’t you an upstanding citizen Pennyworth? No complaining about how humiliated you must feel being beaten like you were last week? No going on and on about how The Surgical Specialist has your brain so tied up in knots that any luchador off the street can put your shoulders to the mat for a three count?”

***Wyld shakes a finger dismissively at the camera.***

WYLD: “You’re not fooling anybody you sham. You’re a shadow of your former self these days... and it’s all thanks to ME.”

***Wyld puts up a finger shakes it.***

WYLD: “Well... thanks to me and Johnny Malibu that is. Yes... that up-and-comer really seems to know his stuff. Management should keep an eye on him.”

***Wyld puts his hands on his hips and smiles.***

WYLD: “Now... I certainly can’t speak for Johnny Malibu. I don’t know his schedule... but if he agrees to your little challenge... and if you want me at ringside this week for your rematch... I think I have an opening in my schedule. I’d be more than happy to watch firsthand as he beats you for a SECOND time. But be careful what you wish for Rich... remember, I’m ALWAYS two steps ahead.”

***Fade to Black.***

Re: Rage Boiling Over

Post by Quillz » Wed Sep 12, 2018 4:51 pm

***The scene opens in a well-lit gymnasium. Tiger Gold and Brian Fury can be seen hard at work, training on a heavy bag. Tiger Gold supports the bag as Fury rains vicious blows down upon it. Strike after powerful strike land hard in the meat of the bag, producing shotgun-like reverberations throughout the empty facility. Fury’s face is a mask of intense rage as he attacks his sand-filled opponent. Finally, after a final, hurricane-like blow, the bag breaks free from its chain, thudding hard to the ground, releasing its contents in a spray of sand across the floor. Tiger Gold steps back and regards the mess solemnly. He puts his mighty hands on his hips and turns to Brian Fury.***

GOLD: “My brother... you seem troubled. Ever since we decided to combine our skills and form an unbeatable tag-team, I have sensed a tension in you. An unease that radiates from your warrior spirit.”

FURY: “Maybe that’s none of your business, Tiger? Look man, I’ve been doing this for a long time. I tried reaching out to people before and got burned. Ed Simonds. James Savage. I had to learn the hard way that you can’t trust anybody in this business. I’m not gonna lie....it feels good having somebody watching my back but you’re asking me to trust you. I’m not sure if I can just yet, Tiger.”

GOLD: “I understand... for too long you have had only yourself to rely on. You have grown mighty in your isolation... but your strength, while awesome, is brittle. Even the keenest blade must be flexible under pressure. As warriors we must balance the strength of the body with the wisdom of the spirit. If we become too rigid in our core beliefs... we run the risk of cracking under the pressure.”

***Fury turns away and grits his teeth.***

FURY: “Let’s get one thing straight: I don’t NEED you, Tiger. I can handle myself in and out of the ring. I’m not weak! I don’t need my hand held! I knew what I got into by challenging Nick Spoils and his crew. The numbers caught up to me and I can admit that. You came and helped me out and I appreciate it but it seems like you want me to beg you for your help. Not a chance in hell that’s happening, bro!”

GOLD: “Self-reliance is a virtue my friend... but to turn inward and reject the help of a friend in kind is to close yourself off from a source of great power. For all his dastardly machinations... Nick Spoils understands the value of numbers. He has allies who would die for him. A warrior alone cannot overcome such odds. Let me help you.”

FURY: “Maybe you have a point. Maybe we can do this together. Or MAYBE you’re in Nick’s payroll too! He paid Brawler Beckett to jump me after a match so maybe you are thinking of doing the same thing? Make no mistake, I’ve got my eyes locked on everything. We’ll see how this plays out.....”

***Tiger Gold nods quietly to himself. After a moment he reaches back and picks up a black velvet bag from a nearby folding chair.***

GOLD: “I cannot pretend to know the demons that battle within your head Brian Fury. But I do know that as a unified force... no tag-team in the world can stand against us. I will not tell you how you should proceed or where you should place your trust. But I pride myself on being a man of my word. I believe my actions in PWA have shown that I can be trusted. So... while you ponder your future... allow me to give you a gift.”

***Tiger Gold reaches into the bag and pulls out a shimmering gold and black tiger mask. Brian Fury looks at it apprehensively... and then takes it in his hands.***

FURY: “I know the history of this mask and this means a lot. A LOT! This shows me that you’re serious. Well I’m just as serious! The goal I set was to be World champion and Kevin Starr has what I want. That’s what got me started down this path that now has you on it. You’re asking me to sideline my goals so that we can team up? That’s a BIG ask...but maybe it’s time I started trusting again. Maybe you and I can make a run and take those tag belts from Armageddon? I’m game for that.....but let me tell you man to man.....if you cross me, if you try something shady there’s NOWHERE you can hide from me!”

GOLD: “My friend... do not worry yourself. If I attack you I can assure you it will to your face and in the full light of day. Now, release your tension. We have a tag-team championship to pursue and a gallery of rogues to vanquish. Come Tiger Fury... destiny awaits!”

FURY: “Tiger Fury....I like that! Let’s finish training so we can show the world what we’re all about. Thanks for walking this path with me....friend....”

***The two gargantuan grapplers resume their training. Fade to black.***

Please join us for PART 2 of ‘The Wyld Legacy’ on PWA Rewind!

Post by Quillz » Wed Sep 12, 2018 7:50 pm

***The scene opens with a montage of wrestling highlights scrolling across the screen. Scenes from Greco Wyld’s long and celebrated wrestling career flash by in time with catchy music.***

ANNOUNCER: “Welcome to the second episode in our limited series chronicling the history of famed grappler Greco Wyld and the legacy of the Wyld Wrestling Family in this special edition of PWA Rewind!”

***Home video footage plays of Greco and Aldo Wyld working with young aspiring wrestlers in a spartan looking ring in a modest gymnasium.***

ANNOUNCER: “Following the tragic, career ending injury suffered by Aldo Wyld, the Wyld brothers left the competitive stage and opened the first ever Wyld Wrestling and Athletic Center, a training facility for teaching new and aspiring wrestlers the fundamentals of the sport. What started as little more than a means to pay the bills and keep the brothers involved in the industry they loved would eventually evolve into one of the most respected wrestling schools in the industry, and carve the Wyld Family name into the annals of history.”

***Black and white images of the Wyld Brothers working together with young iterations of familiar superstars flash across the screen.***

WYLD: “Over the next two years, Greco Wyld developed a reputation as a respected and skilled teacher... yet as time wore on, the young grappler found it more and more difficult to stay away from professional competition. Though he was reluctant to set out on his own without his brother... the drive to compete and practice his craft at the highest level nearly consumed him. Finally... after receiving a wholehearted endorsement from his brother, Greco Wyld returned to active competition, signing a multi-year contract with the IWF.”

***Footage plays of Greco Wyld standing nose-to-nose with Nemesis Rex at a contract signing. There is palpable rage in Greco’s eyes as he signs on the dotted line.***

ANNOUNCER: “Greco’s early singles career was largely defined by his intense rivalry with Nemesis Rex. In the two years Greco Wyld was away from the federation Nemesis Rex had grown into a feared ring presence. Boosted by his vicious treatment of Aldo Wyld in their one fateful encounter, Nemesis Rex developed a reputation as a dangerous and underhanded pit-fighter. Greco’s clean-cut image and quest for justice against the man who ended his brother’s career catapulted their rivalry to the main event. Though Greco and Nemesis never fought each other for the IWF Title, their blood feud headlined live events across the country for nearly a year.”

***Footage airs of Greco Wyld hoisting Nemesis Rex into a high-angle Greco-plex and scoring a hard-earned three count in front of a sold-out arena of thousands.***

ANNOUNCER: “Following a narrow victory over Nemesis Rex in a highly publicized, loser-leaves-town match, Greco Wyld set his sights on the IWF Heavyweight Title, a championship that had, at that time, been held by the six-foot-seven Tiger Gold for a record-setting 455 days. Their epic title match at the popular IWF PPV Supermax VII represented a watershed moment in the career of Greco Wyld, and to the sport of professional wrestling as a whole. With his historic title victory, Greco Wyld demonstrated that an undersized, technical grappler could compete at a main event level usually reserved for much larger, flashier competitors.”

***Footage is shown of Greco shaking the hand of Tiger Gold, and the larger wrestler holding Wyld’s arm up in victory as the crowd explodes.***

ANNOUNCER: “Greco Wyld would go on to hold the IWF title on three additional occasions over the next several years, developing a reputation as one of the all-time great heavyweight champions. After a nearly ten year run at the top of the IWF’s heavyweight division, Greco signed a multi-year contract with the revitalized WWC where he would eventually help to re-establish the brand as a global force, eventually unifying the WWC and CWC Heavyweight titles.”

***Footage airs of Greco Wyld leaning over a maternity ward hospital bed where he kisses the head of a young woman. In her arms she cradles a baby boy.***

ANNOUNCER: “As Greco Wyld closed out his second decade as a sports entertainer, big changes were on the horizon for the veteran champion. Join us next time as Greco Wyld faces the challenges of raising a family... and transitions to an all new phase of his legendary career. All this and more, next time on PWA Rewind.”

***Fade to black.***
