Promo Archive Format

Now that there's one show behind us, we're starting to think about how things will be presented for historical purposes. So the question at hand is how do we want to retain old promos that may or may not have anything to do with the current shows?

As I see it, there are four options.

First option is that we don't change anything. We just allow the older posts to move back further into the forum, and the newest posts stay on the top for people to see. This certainly has the benefit of simplicity, but wouldn't allow people reading the archives to necessarily be able to link older posts with a specific show.

Second option is that we archive old posts into a single subforum. Whenever a show goes live, we move all promos related to that show into a single 'Archive' subforum. This at least makes it so that new viewers are aware of the current fueds and promos without having to figure out where the break is.

Third option is a little more robust, and that is that we continue to post current promos where they are, but we archive all posts into an episode-specific subforum after the show runs. This would be a little more work for me, but not terribly so as compared to the second option. It does have the benefit of knowing which promos go with which show, and we could even link to the forum from the show's post on the main page.

Fourth option is like the third, except that we create the show-specific subforum ahead of time, and all promos go in there. That honestly creates less work for me, because I wouldn't have to move topics after a show was done. But it does require our handlers to promo in the correct spot.

Or there may be other options I haven't thought of. If you have something else, let me know below?
