*** Fade in: a black screen ***
VOICE: "It's been too long."
*** Flashes of lightning barely reveal the silhouette of a wrestler standing on a sound stage, arms tensed, head bowed. A voiceover plays from a ring announcer from years gone by.***
ANNOUNCER: "Frooooom Whistler, British Columbia, Canada!-"
*** More flashes reveal a monitor showing wrestling, the clips cut too fast to recognise, all one can see is a silver and black blur, accompanied by the rumblings of thunder. A dull murmur from the crowd. ***
VOICE: "They say I never made it in the big show. They say no one will remember."
ANNOUNCER: "Weighing in at twooooooooooooo-hundred, nineteen pounds!-"
*** More flashes. A figure walking down the ramp of an empty stadium. A kendo stick being dragged against a guard rail, the sound obscured by the rumbling of thunder. ***
VOICE: "I guess it's time to remind them."
*** More flashes to fast scrolling clips. ***
COMMENTATOR: "....the athleticism and technical brilliance of the young superstar!- .....unmatched speed and reflexes, you don't want to get into a counter battle with-"
ANNOUNCER: "He is Lightniiiiing in a Bottle!-"
VOICE: "Actions speak louder than words."
*** The flash of lightning, the roar of thunder, the reply from the stands. ***
COMMENTATOR: "....not just going after the leg, he'll exploit any weakness- ....pushing that cruiserweight weight limit, the sheer power and physicality!"
VOICE: "Your strategy? I already have The Answer."
ANNOUNCER: "He is The Paaaaaaacemaker!"
*** The rumble of thunder grows into a crescendo along with the roar of the crowd. ***
ANNOUNCER: "Heeeeee iiiiisssssss Theeeeeee FUUUUUTURE!"
VOICE: "So then only one question remains."
ANNOUNDER: "HEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIIIIS-"
VOICE: "Prestige Wrestling Association,"
COMMENTATOR: "He's got the leg!!!"
*** One last flash of lightning, bright enough to obscure everything, followed by darkness once more. ***
VOICE: "Fact? ...or..."
*** The clap of thunder arrives and seems to knock the camera askew, cutting to static for a few seconds. ***
*** Scene fades. ***
