Fate of the Light Heavyweight Belt

The shot opens with an exterior view of Snow's red training barn in the middle of summer. It is a pleasant view, with birds chirping and flowers blooming. The camera moves in, in an obviously sped up section of video, until it has entered the barn proper, and focuses on Snow himself standing in the middle of his ring, the PWA Light Heavyweight Championship belt resting over his shoulder. When he is center frame, he takes a deep breath and starts speaking.

SNOW: I can't tell you how surreal this feels. It seems like it was only yesterday that an incredibly young Snow was getting his first shot at the big-time. And now, that chapter of my life is ending. But what a way to go out, right?

SNOW: Now, I've had a number of people asking me a very pertinent question. And that regards that status of this championship belt and the scheduled match at King of Deathmatch. They've been asking if I'm going to put the title on the line and make this triple threat match a fatal four-way. To be frank, I've even had Damion Black asking me about my plans. So I'm going to make this perfectly clear.

SNOW: I will NOT be defending this championship belt. That doesn't mean, however, that the title match won't go ahead. It'll just be without me in it. I will be present at King of Deathmatch, where I will relinquish this title belt. And the match between Beckett, Pantaro, and Watts will go ahead as scheduled. It is my great honor and privilege to be the first two-time Light Heavyweight Champion in PWA, but by the end of King of Deathmatch, one of those three will be joining me in those ranks.

SNOW: And if you'll allow me a little moment of self-indulgence? It gives me no little sense of satisfaction to know that I took the title off of Brawler Beckett, and that he will never be able to get that win back. It does my heart good.

SNOW: So, to recap. I will be at ringside for the Light Heavyweight Championship match at King of Deathmatch. I will vacate the belt just before the match, and watch from ringside as the match continues. I will be there to root on mi hermano Pantaro -- sorry, Spencer -- as he hopefully joins me as a two-time champion. And then...then I will say adios to my career as an active competitor and move on to something I hope will be just as fulfilling.

SNOW: Thank you all for your time. The belt and I will be seeing you soon.
