La Nieve is seen walking backstage after her match with Nikki Wyld. She stops as someone calls her name, and turns back to see Terry Schneider coming up to her with a microphone.

TERRY: La Nieve, you were defeated tonight in the number one contender's match. Would you share a few words about that match with the PWA viewers?

LA NIEVE: Certainly, Mr. Schneider. I am disappointed in the outcome, obviously, though I feel the referee's decision should always stand in wrestling. That said, I feel that everyone in PWA should take a closer look at the finish. I am more disappointed in Ms. Wyld's actions in the closing moments of our match than I am with the actual outcome. If I may address her directly right now?

TERRY: By all means.

LA NIEVE: Ms. Wyld. I know your families history. I have studied the greats of the business for many years. The Wyld family name, with certain notable exceptions, has always been associated with honor and integrity. What you did tonight was neither honorable nor did it show integrity. It was more Akira than it was Greco, Rebel, or Alyssa, if you understand me. What you did tonight was not the hallmark of one who should hold the title belt. Even should you defeat Mr. Beckett, your actions to earn the opportunity would taint your reign. I implore you to seek out Mr. Black and ask for another chance. A chance to make it right.

LA NIEVE: You are a fine competitor, Ms. Wyld. You and I were putting on a great match tonight. It was just the shortcut that disappoints me. And Ms. Wyld, know this -- if you do not request the rematch, I will. I don't know if Mr. Black will see fit to grant it for me with his new attitude, but I will make the request should you disappoint me again.

TERRY: Some strong words there, La Nieve.

LA NIEVE: She is a fierce competitor, and I believe that her actions tonight may have been in the heat of the moment. She may not even have realized what she did until afterwards. Nevertheless, making it right is now on her shoulders.

TERRY: Thank you for your time.

LA NIEVE: Thank you, Mr. Schneider.

***Nikki Wyld is backstage at the PWA Arena. She is pacing back and forth in front of a silver and blue Wyld Family sequined curtain. She frowns and stamps a foot on the ground in frustration.***

NIKKI: "Ok ok ok... FINE Mask-Chick. Maybe at Assault I got a 'little', uh, over... enthusiastic in our match. Maybe I bent those rules just a hair. But... but you gotta understand! Damion Black has been putting the screws to my family all season! He hurt Akira! He FIRED my dad! He tried to get my uncle Rebel fired too! All the while his cronies like Beckett and Ecks are getting all the breaks! I'm fighting for my life here! I'm practically all that's left! I just HAVE to be the one to take on Beckett and take the Light Heavyweight Title! I HAVE to be the one to throw a monkey wrench into Damion Black's plans!"

***Nikki drags her hands through her hair and sighs.***

NIKKI: "Look, I KNOW you totally deserve a title shot. I know you're trying to make a name for yourself just like I am. It's not fair that I punched you in the stink to get a dirty win at Assault. But... I had reasons for doing what I did! If you were in my position you'd have done the same thing! Here, I’ll make you a deal. Once I beat Beckett for the belt, I’ll give you the first title shot. That’s fair right?”

***Nikki rubs her eyes in frustration with her palms, smearing her face paint across her cheeks. She looks down at her paint-flaked hands.***

NIKKI: "Frick."

***Nikki takes a deep breath and composes herslef.***

NIKKI: "Ok whatever. When you're right, you're right. FINE! You want a rematch lady? You've got one! Tonight at Battery, I am officially calling you out. But last week was the only do-over you get. Eyes wide open mask-face! My life is on the line and I'm coming into this fight hot and dirty! Gird your loins girlfriend, because by hook or by crook I'm taking you down for the three-count and I'm gonna go on to face that tea-bagging douche Beckett for his title!"
