Aftermath of the Fallen

The scene opens in a familiar study with Rhett Holiday sitting in a mahogany leather chair in his blood stained white suit. Two children, a boy and girl stand at either sides of the chair dressed as if they are going to a funeral. Holiday lights a cigar and releases a plume if smoke.

“Failure is a word most of the PWA flock would associate with Rhett Holiday. Once the Chosen and now the Fallen. Only those lacking in imagination see the world this way. Only those who are blinded by the delusions that are forced upon them see me as a failure.”

Holiday takes another puff of the cigar and smiles.

“I have indeed failed. I have indeed failed to open the minds and eyes of this lost flock called the Armada. I have failed to shepherd you, the PWA faithful to the promise land that you so gainfully deserve! But alas! As long as my final breath remains to be taken and so long as good and righteous grace this squared haven, I will be there to strike them down! I will be there to take little pieces of their souls back to the gates of the afterlife until we are all free!”

Holiday laughs digging his nails into the arms of the chair. Smoke rolls from his mouth and nose as the laugh fades. The camera then focuses on the children. In perfect eerie unison they speak.

“He seeks not revenge. He seeks only a reckoning.”

The camera fades to black.
