"Brawler Beckett, you have been Akira Wyld's longest standing friend in PWA! You started the Union together! Why did you leave your partner in the middle of a tag team match?!"
BECKETT: "You have very much answered your own question, Terrence. Akira Wyld has taken from me valuable time and energy. I have been sacrificing my own career for the sake of furthering his, which is truly what the Union was all about for him. He betrayed me, time and again. My walk out tonight is a declaration: Bartholomew Beckett is no one's pawn nor meal ticket. I have too long neglected my own advancement, particularly as concerns the Light Heavyweight Title, of which I have been cheated since I joined this organization.
"Therefore, I, Bartholomew Beckett, have decided finally to dissolve the Union. *turns to face the camera* Akira, this you have brought upon yourself. Oh, I'm sure you will blame this all on me, just as you blame everyone else for your ample shortcomings, but know this: your selfish nature has limited you in this sport. This is YOUR fault. I am tired of paying for your selfish attitude, and sacrificing my career for yours. No more."
"What about Nick Spoils, Gehenna and Nakamura Yamasaki?"
BECKETT: "Did you not hear me just now, Terrence? There is no more Union. They go their way, I will go mine. Future endeavors, and all that rot. Spoils was a fine manager; perhaps he will be again someday, but he must recover his career from this shambles as I must mine."
"What is next for Brawler Beckett?"
BECKETT: "As I said, the Light Heavyweight Title has long been denied me. It has been mine by right since I first put pen to paper for this company, and since that time I have been maliciously and purposefully blocked from my due right to my title. It all started with how I manhandled that has-been, Snowflake, and has since become the habit of the whole division, right up to the top of the business, to rattle the belt at me while denying me what is mine. I WILL put an end to that by claiming what has always been rightfully mine: MY Light Heavyweight Title."
"What exactly do you have against Derrik Arzon?"
BECKETT: "Precisely this: he does not belong here. He never has. He came here as a mere fan who won a contest, remember? He did not pay his dues to get into this business. Now, I will grant he has had some success here. I have noted before, as you well know, the boy's raw natural athleticism and enthusiasm, and it is true that he has learned a few tricks since coming here by learning from me, but he is limited. If he had any sense at all, he would go to iN**B where he could easily be top dog of their light division. Instead, he has remained here, insulted me, wheedled me, stirred public opinion against me, and so I can think of no better way to begin my reclamation of my place at the top of the division than by putting this boy in his place and making an example of him.
"However, I am nothing if not a gentleman. While I do not consider Derrick Arse-wand to be my equal, and therefore unable to out wrestle me, I will issue him a Gentleman's Challenge to an over-the-top-rope match. His not having to pin my or make me tap out should make this as fair a match as possible for him without me wearing a blindfold.
"Now get out of my way, Terrence, you bother me."
