***The scene opens backstage at the PWA Arena. Akira and Rebel Wyld stand together in front of a blue and silver Wyld Family backdrop. Rebel is wearing a Wyld Family t-shirt and Akira is wearing his monogrammed leather jacket and has the iNCW Twitch Championship belt around his waist. PWA backstage reporter Candy Curtis stands by with a microphone.***
CANDY CURTIS: “Rebel and Akira Wyld, this has been a climactic season in PWA for the Wyld Family. There has been heartbreak. There has been controversy. There has been chaos. At times, it has even looked as if wrestling’s First Family might be on the verge of imploding.”
***Akira nods and Rebel lets out a breath.***
CANDY: “But, what a difference a few weeks can make. From the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. As the Armada stands on the eve of PWA Undaunted, the members of the Wyld Family stands on the precipice of what could be the single most influential night in their long and storied history. At this Sunday’s sold-out Supercard, representatives of the Wyld Family will compete in three extremely high-stakes matches. Akira Wyld will face PWA owner Damion Black in the first ever Blackout match, Rebel Wyld will face the Siberian Psychopath Victor Sokolov for the PWA Heavyweight Championship, and The Masked Shooter, Aldo Wyld will face Brawler Beckett for the NWC World Title. A month ago, few would have imagined that the next PWA Supercard would hold such high stakes for the Wyld Family. How does it feel to be standing here under these circumstances?”
***Rebel steps forward and looks at the camera.***
REBEL WYLD: “This season definitely started out hard for the Wylds. There were powerful forces trying to bring us down... but what they failed to realize is that wrestling’s premier name THRIVES on conflict. When the temperature rises and the Wylds are at each other’s throats, that’s when we are at our best. Iron sharpens iron, and this family has been honed to a razor’s edge by a lifetime of taking out our frustrations on each other in the ring. When people try to bring us down by turning us on each other, they are just playing into our hands... because fighting is all the Wyld Family does. It may sound crazy... but it’s a special kind of crazy we grew up in and know well.”
***Akira nods and steps forward.***
AKIRA WYLD: “At the beginning of this season, I made a bad decision that put the health and well-being of my entire family at risk. In trying to help my uncle Aldo, I made an agreement with Damion Black that almost put an end to me. But what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and thanks to some tough love by my siblings, I came through with my soul intact on the the other side. They saw through what Black was trying to do to me even when I couldn’t see it myself. And now, with their support, I’m back and better than ever. I have championship gold around my waist and a win over Damion Black and Victor Sokolov on my scorecard. I’ve never felt stronger... and I’m taking all that momentum with me into the Blackout match at PWA Undaunted.”
CANDY: “Definitely an unexpected and life-changing turn of events for you Akira.”
***Candy turns to Rebel Wyld.***
CANDY: “And speaking of unexpected developments, after a dramatic and explosive match on Assault, Rebel Wyld, you secured your place as the number one contender to the PWA Heavyweight Title by overcoming the Sokolov Open Challenge. How do you feel as you prepare to face off against the Siberian Psychopath in your first ever match for the championship?”
REBEL: “Candy, I know I wasn’t the person people thought would beat Victor Sokolov to earn a shot at the PWA Heavyweight Championship. But I’ve been in this business for 20 years, and I know who I am and what I can do in that ring. Week in and week out I watched that monster beat contender after contender. I studied every move he made... and I knew I saw I flaw in his game-plan. I knew that if I was given an opportunity, I’d be able to pin his shoulders to the mat. I’m not going to lie, that match I had with Sokolov was the hardest fight of my life. I’m lucky to have survived it with my career intact. A lot of people think that it took everything I had to beat Sokolov one time. There are naysayers who say there’s no way I can make lightning strike again for two more falls. But I’ve been defying the odds my entire career. The winds have shifted and momentum is on my side. At PWA Undaunted, I’m taking down Victor Sokolov once and for all and bringing the heavyweight title to the Wyld Family.”
CANDY: “That should be a match for the ages. And speaking of highly anticipated encounters, what are your feelings regarding your uncle Aldo Wyld and his career defining match for the NWC Championship against longtime antagonist Brawler Beckett?”
AKIRA: “You know, I learned the hard way that every man needs to have the freedom to chart his own path. Whether that is the beginning of a journey or the end. My uncle Aldo is the strongest, toughest man I’ve ever met. He has left blood and sweat in the ring for more than thirty years, and he did it to help build this sport for future generations. If any man deserves the chance to finish his story on his own terms it’s him.”
REBEL: “We love Uncle Aldo. None of us in the family would be where we are today if it weren’t for him. We know people have been telling stories about his health and trying to make decisions for him regarding this chapter of his life. But in the end... The Masked Shooter deserves to be at PWA Undaunted, fighting for the biggest prize in professional wrestling. Any one of us should be so lucky as to be where he is in the twilight of his career. He is a champion through and through and he’s going to show the world that one more time when he beats Brawler Beckett at Undaunted.”
***Candy turns back to the camera and smiles.***
CANDY: “This promises to be a monumental night for the Wyld Family and all of the PWA Armada. Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen... because PWA Undaunted begins in moments!”
***Fade to black.***
