PWA Heavyweight Champion Tiger Gold addresses a capacity crowd...

***The scene opens at the PWA Arena shortly before PWA Battery is scheduled to begin. The capacity crowd is roaring in eager anticipation as pyros go off and the announcers welcome the PWA Armanda to the building. The camera pans the audience as they cheer. Suddenly, Tiger Gold’s theme erupts from the stadium speakers as the PWA Heavyweight Champion appears at the entrance ramp. The glistening Heavyweight Championship Belt sits around his bronze waist as he stands soaking in the cheers of the audience. He begins an energetic march to the ring, shaking his fists in the air and posing heroically. As he enters the ring he gestures to a ringside attendant who throws him a microphone. The PWA Champion paces in the ring as the crowd continues to cheer. Finally, he pauses and raises the microphone to speak.***

GOLD: “After six long seasons... I have finally achieved my ultimate goal. The PWA Heavyweight Championship has been wrested from the hands of corruption, and sits atop the mountain of the immortals once more.”

***The crowd explodes in cheers again as Tiger Gold unfastens the championship from his waist and hoists it high in the air.***

GOLD: “At The King of Deathmatch, I engaged in an epic battle with Ronnie Lassiter for no less than the soul of the Prestige Wrestling Association. Through the power and limitless energy of the PWA Armada, I was victorious. I now stand tall before you, ready to defend the honor of our great sport, as a champion of the fighting spirit that dwells within each and every one of you.”

***Gold lowers the belt and looks across the audience.***

GOLD: “But all is not well in the hall of the immortals. When I took on this mantle of champion... I promised myself that I would be nothing more or less than an honorable, fighting champion. I promised myself that I would stand firm against all challengers. I swore than each and every week here in this arena I would stand tall as a measuring stick for greatness against all comers. And yet... my matches this season have been marred by malfeasance and subterfuge. Twice now I have stepped in this ring to defend this title. And twice, The Spoiler has interrupted my matches, attacking my opponents. The reigning King of the Deathmatch has marred my championship record with his nefarious ways. This will not stand. It is clear to me that The Spoiler desires this championship, and he intends to make a nuisance of himself until he gets his opportunity to take it.”

***Gold nods and looks at the belt in his hands.***

GOLD: “Spoiler listen good and well... I do not play games and I have no patience for your manipulations. You desire a warrior’s chance at the PWA Championship? Well I say that as the King of the Deathmatch you have more than earned your shot. So cease your chicanery villain. Face me atop Mount Olympus under the shadows of our ancestors. You want an opportunity... and I say it is yours. Spoiler... prepare yourself, for DESTINY AWAITS.”

***Tiger Gold ascends to the top of the turnbuckle and thrusts his arms in the air. The crowd explodes with excitement and Gold’s music echoes throughout the arena.***
