Nemesis Rex after PWA Battery...

***The scene opens near the ring directly after the match between Nemesis Rex and Alex Prime. Rex rolls out of the ring. He is breathing heavily and sweat drips down his face and chest. He puts his hands on his hips and paces back and forth catching his breath. He looks to the booing crowd and narrows his eyes. As he turns and makes his way up the ramp toward the backstage area, PWA Reporter Ronnie Stockholm catches up to him, microphone in hand.***

STOCKHOLM: “Nemesis Rex, you just scored an impressive win against the returning Alex Prime, earning you some measure of retribution for the Champion’s League defeating The Devil’s Own last week on Assault? Where does tonight’s victory leave you and the Coldsnakes as you continue your quest to be crowned the first ever PWA Six-Man Champions?”

***Rex wipes sweat from his brow and snatches the microphone from Stockholm.***

REX: “Tonight the world witnessed ONCE AGAIN what happens when you dare to step into the ring with the Devil himself. Tonight, the air was electric with anticipation as Alex Prime made his PWA Battery debut. Wrestling fans the world over wondered how the legendary “Captain Hollywood” would fare in his first singles match in PWA. I wonder... were they satisfied with what they saw? There are those who would call Alex Prime’s performance tonight heroic. Some would say that they witnessed a true top shelf talent at the top of his game... a decorated veteran who electrified the crowd with his high-impact offense as he fought bravely for twenty minutes against a vile and underhanded villain... a ring general who managed to kick out of TWO Unkindest Cuts and keep fighting.... a mat technician that came within a hair’s breadth of winning despite insurmountable odds.”

***Rex pauses and looks at the hostile crowd.***

REX: “Those people are deluding themselves. What happened tonight was nothing more and nothing less than destiny manifest. No matter how hard Alex Prime fought... no matter how close he came to victory... the fact remains that no man is a match for Nemesis Rex when his back is against the wall. With an Unkindest Cut on a steel chair, I reminded the world what The Devil’s Own represents in this business. The Champion’s League may have won the skirmish on Assault... but as you can see, the war is FAR from over. I am Nemesis Rex. I may lose a single battle... but God help you if I do, because those who defy *my* will inevitably feel my WRATH. Let the record show that Nemesis Rex will do ANYTHING to get what he wants. Tonight was only a taste of what The Devil’s Own has in store for the PWA locker room. And if Alex Prime or anyone in the Champion’s League attempts to stand in our way again... they will pay the ultimate price.”

***Rex glares at the camera for a long moment, and then throws the microphone down in disgust and stomps away up the ramp.***
