Special Interview

[Ameronth]

***The camera fades in on a dark library. The library appears old and stately, dimly lit, with dust gently masking the rich architecture and mahogany furniture like a death shroud. In the corner of the library, two men are seated at a small desk and in leather chairs adorned with brass buttons. One man, his face masked by shadow, gently rolls ash from a cigar into and ash tray on the desk, takes a sip of scotch from a glass near at hand, and then he lifts the cigar to his mouth and takes a generous puff. The other man, Terry Schneider, holds a microphone and fidgets with the cord nervously, though his face is adorned with a reporter’s smile. The man with the cigar leans forward slightly, letting the light remove his shadowy mask. Rhett Holiday smiles a wolfish grin, as though he knows something no one else does.***

SCHNEIDER: “Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to you my guest and the subject of this in-depth interview, Rhett Holiday. Rhett, thank you for allowing PWA into your… um…., what would you call this place?”

HOLIDAY: "This is my home. You and all of PWA are always welcome here."

SCHNEIDER: “Can you tell us how you began your career in professional wrestling? You started in Japan, didn’t you, wrestling for ZIP Japan?”

HOLIDAY: "No one has expressed this much interest in me since I got here. It's nice to know I'm getting the recognition I deserve. As for ZIP, it was my last chance at life. I was at a crossroads and chose to continue wrestling. I chose what I was given the skill and strength to do."

SCHNEIDER: “Back then and all the way to your start in PWA, you were known as ‘The Chosen One’. Now, you are known as the ‘The Fallen’. What exactly brought about this change?”

HOLIDAY: "As I said, I was at a crossroads. I was given a choice. A choice by someone who saw something in me. They could have left me to shrivel and die like the sheep around me, but I was chosen...

*Holiday grins gritting his teeth*

"You know why I'm The Fallen... You as well as everyone else have witnessed my fall... But unlike the mindless poisoned heap, I took to losing it all as a challenge. A challenge to climb from and gain my own power.. Next question."

SCHNEIDER: “You’ve spoken before about your desire to cleanse PWA of what you refer to as ‘The Light’. What is ‘the Light’ and why do you seek to extinguish it from PWA?”

HOLIDAY: "The light is anything that the masses cheer for, anything that the office force feeds the uneducated horde of drooling sheep... You, Schneider, are the light.."

*Holiday takes a puff of his cigar*

"I seek to extinguish the light to save those poor uneducated slobbering masses. Everyone will be freed from the poison or Fall by my hands..."

SCHNEIDER: “Derrik Arzon has not been your only target, but I think it’s fair to say that he has most of your attention. What is it about Derrik that draws your enmity?”

HOLIDAY: "Have you not seen the adoration they give him? He is the next in a long line of mental assassins sent to rob potential good people of their own thoughts and feelings. To strip them of their..."

*Holiday growls*

"Next question."

SCHNEIDER: “Derrik did challenge you to a match at PWA: Black and has agreed to any stipulations you wish. Have you decided on the stipulations for your match?”

HOLIDAY: "I'm honored that Arzon allowed me to choose his death sentence, not surprised but honored still. I want to bleed him from thousands of cuts like he has bled the PWA flock. I want him to be the example for all before and after him who plan to bring the light of hope and the vision of dreams fulfilled."

*Holiday lifts a cloth unveiling a large roll of barbed wire*

"A Barbed-Wire Deathmatch, much like the one myself and McElroy had, only without the sudden interruption and inconvenience of C4."

SCHNEIDER: “What about the children, the young boy and girl? Who are they and what is your association with them?”

HOLIDAY: *Holiday grits his teeth again clearly agitated by the question*

"Next. Question."

SCHNEIDER: *GULP* “You mentioned a voice or an entity that speaks to you. Who or what is this entity?”

HOLIDAY: *Holiday shivers and crack his neck as he begins to unravel the barbed wire and wrap it around his arm.*

"You sure do come with the hard-hitting journalism, don't you?"

*Holiday stands before Schneider and takes his microphone tossing it away.*

"You come into my domain, a welcome guest... You bring questions to insult me and force me into some villainous monologue..."

*Holiday gently takes Schneider by the collar and lifts him to his feet.*

"You've asked your last question... You've conducted your last interview.... You're soul purpose now is to sacrifice yourself to send a message to Arzon.."

*Holiday laughs with sadistic abandon before violently pulling Schneider into The Hero's Fall with his barbwire covered arm cinched under Schneider's neck squeezing as it cuts. The white sleeve of Holidays jacket becomes stained with both of their blood... Holiday leans back into the hold, his body tensing but his face is raised toward the ceiling, his eyes closed and a look of euphoria briefly crosses his face, before he suddenly jerks forward and locks eyes with the camera. His green eyes wide with glee as he screams.*

"They all Fall Azron! Everyone Falls! YOU WILL FALL!!!"
