Akira Wyld has a lot to answer for... but so does Nick Spoils.

***The scene opens up in front of a silver and blue curtained interview set at the PWA Arena. Ronnie Stockholm is standing by with Akira Wyld, who is sporting a swollen cheek and a large bandage over one eye as a result of his encounter at Assault with his former teammates, The Union. Akira is pacing back and forth with a troubled look on his face.***

STOCKHOLM: “Wrestling fans, I am here today with Akira Wyld, the FORMER leader of the vicious and destructive wrestling faction known as The Union. Akira Wyld... for two seasons, you, Nick Spoils, Brawler Beckett, Nakamura Yamasaki, and Armageddon stood tall as the most dangerous force in PWA. Using your gang-like tactics, the six of you disrupted this organization at every level, on a self-professed mission to bring down what you described as a corrupt system. But after the events that took place at PWA Assault, is it safe to say that The Union is no more?”

***Akira paces back and forth, rubbing his taped shoulder with one hand and looking at the ground.***

AKIRA: “You know, Stockholm... there was a time not too long ago that I would have spun you some paranoid tale about how the world was against me and I was stabbed in the back by the only people in the world I trusted. I would have told you that I was a victim of a conspiracy designed to hold me down. Well... this season I’ve had the opportunity to take a long, hard look in the mirror. And the fact of the matter is that what happened at Assault... is my fault. My whole career, I walked around with a massive chip on my shoulder. I never felt like I was being judged on my own merits. And that feeling of... of not being good enough... that lead me, time and time again, to play the victim. It lead me to... find other people that I could blame my failures on. That was why Spoils, Beckett and myself came together to form the Union. Together, we could blame the rest of the world for the way things were. We could cry injustice and unfairness... and force PWA to be what we wanted it to be.”

STOCKHOLM: “Morality aside... few can doubt the effectiveness of your approach. With the strength of The Union, Armageddon reigned twice as PWA Tag Champions. You won the first ever NWC World Heavyweight Championship. You even battled Damion Black for control of all of PWA. With all of that success, why did things fall apart so completely?”

***Akira slams his fist into his hand.***

AKIRA: “They fell apart because my damn ego got the better of me. I knew we had the PWA World and Heavyweight Titles in our grasp... I was so damn sure of myself that I... I...”

***Akira runs his hands through his hair and sighs.***

AKIRA: “You know what? It doesn’t matter. I know what I did and I know what I have to do now. I may not deserve a redemption arc, but I’ll be damned if Nick Spoils is going to get away with trying to end my career either. I’m coming for that arrogant bastard and his whole brood. My eyes are open and I’m going to do what needs to be done to end this.”

STOCKHOLM: “What do you hope to accomplish here Akira? Do you think that putting an end to what you started will make up for all the vicious, unethical things you have been party to during your time in PWA?”

AKIRA: “I’m not looking for forgiveness Stockholm. I don’t need anyone but myself to do what I need to do. Now that I see where the battle lines are drawn, I’m going to do what I’ve always done best... take my targets down with surgical precision.”

STOCKHOLM: “And do those targets include your ex-teammate Brawler Beckett? He left you high and dry during your tag-team bout, but was noticeably absent from the severe beating that the rest of The Union administered on you.”

AKIRA: “Brawler Beckett was one of the only men I considered a friend in this business. If it weren’t for him I’d have never been able to organize The Union in the first place. It hurt when he jumped down off that apron and walked away from me during our tag match. He may not have stayed and beaten me down like Spoils and the rest... but that doesn’t mean he gets to just walk away from all this unscathed. But... right now I don’t think I’m the man that deserves the first chance to beat some respect into him. That man is Derrick Arzon.”

***Akira nods to himself and stares at the camera.***

AKIRA: “So my focus right now is on Nick Spoils, Gehenna, and Nakamura Yamasaki. Those three men need to be brought low, and it’s my responsibility to do it.”

STOCKHOLM: “And what about the man who has been the target of your wrath ever since you joined PWA? What about Damion Black? At Assault you elbowed the owner of PWA in the face when he attempted to intervene on your behalf. Reports indicate that Black’s nose was broken.”

***Akira Wyld sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger.***

AKIRA: “Look... what happened to Black out there was... an accident. I didn’t know he was there. With our history, I’m sure he thinks I did it on purpose, but... I’ll tell him to his face. I’ll go see him right now even... I didn’t know he was there.”

STOCKHOLM: “Does this mean your seasons-long feud with Damion Black is over?”

AKIRA: “No... yes... I mean... look I don’t know. All I know right now is that Nick Spoils is my focus. I’m Akira Wyld. I’m the best damn wrestler on the planet. It’s time I reminded Spoils... and the rest of the world... just what that means.”

***Akira pushes his hair back, turns, and makes his way down the hall. Stockholm nods at the camera and the scene fades to black.***
