The camera is following Snow after Assault as he wanders the corridors in street clothes, looking for La Nieve. He finally tracks her down in a back corner, slumped up against a wall. He speaks to her in Spanish, but the screen conveniently provides a translation for the viewers at home.
SNOW: There you are, daughter. I've been looking everywhere for you. The show ended over an hour ago. It's time to go get some food, relax, wind down.
La Nieve looks at him for a moment before slamming her fist into a nearby electrical box, leaving a small dent.
SNOW: Ah, I see. Frustrated from your loss again? Listen, there is no shame in losing. Especially tonight. You trained for jAi. You were expecting him. You were in the ring, waiting for him. Then a cowardly man took him out and ambushed you. A man twice your size. And what did you do?
LA NIEVE: I lost.
SNOW: Sure, that's what the record books show. But do you know what I saw? I saw a woman take the fight to a much bigger man, take him to his limit, even come close to defeating him a couple times. You picked him up off his feet, for Christ's sake. In this loss, you won. You showed the entire PWA Armada just what you are made of. You proved your mettle. The wins will come, little one.
LA NIEVE: So you say. But when?
SNOW: If you're as skilled as I think you are, sooner rather than later. Not everyone can start their career with a winning streak. You'll get there.
LA NIEVE: Yes, papa. I will continue my training. I will make you proud.
SNOW: You already have, daughter. You already have. Come, let us go. I have more news, exciting news.
The pair start to walk away, and the camera follows. Snow switches to English.
SNOW: And for all of you watching, this news is important for many. I was talking to Damion Black tonight, about the fate of this. He pats the Light Heavyweight belt which can be seen sticking out of his bag. As you all know, I'm not one to pick and choose my competition. I'll take on anyone, at any time. But for something as big as the right to challenge me for the title? Well, Mr. Black and I decided that we need my challenger to prove themselves.
SNOW: So, it is my pleasure to announce that on the Assault after next, there will be a number one contenders match. Unfortunately, PWA safety rules limit us to eight competitors in the ring at once, but when we discussed the options, those eight individuals best suited to challenge for my title were determined fairly easily.
SNOW: There are nine Light Heavyweights on the PWA roster other than myself who are both active and not involved in the Tag Team tournament. So, we had to cut a single person to make an eight-person scramble. Given his attitudes towards some of the other competitors, it was decided that The Imperial Assassin would sit the match out.
SNOW: So, in just two episodes, there will be an eight-person scramble to determine the number one contender for the Light Heavyweight Championship. In this match will be you, La Nieve. You can make me prouder than I already am. And should you win, you and I will face of in this ring as legitimate competitors. But you will be facing some stiff competition.
SNOW: Also in this match will be Wyatt Sharpe, Misterio jAi 1, Rex Camelot, Derrick Arzon, Nikki Wyld, Spencer Watts, and...and...Snow takes a deep breath. And even Brawler Beckett. As much as I hate to admit it, he is worthy of attempting to win this belt -- and who knows, maybe if he gets a shot, it'll be just the wedge that needs to in place to end the Union once and for all.
SNOW: So, then...get ready to prove yourselves, Light Heavyweights of PWA. I'll be watchying.
Snow and La Nieve go through a door, but the camera stays put. Fade to white.
After the Spoiler...and a big announcement
