(heard from outside Mr. Black's office)
Beckett: "... utterly ridiculous!"
Black: (inaudible)
Beckett: "SIGNED? Oh, yes, I was bullied into signing that contract - UNNOTARIZED - for that travesty you have the gall to all a contest, a match with unfair stakes -"
Black: (inaudible)
Beckett: "Wha- you- I - I - I - I'LL SUE! That's what I'll do! You will be hearing from my solicitor!"
(Beckett storms out of the office and is immediately confronted by a dozen members of PWA security who engage him physically)
Beckett: "What is the meaning of this?"
Officer: "We've been instructed to accompany you off the premises, sir, for your own safety."
Beckett: "My-"
(Beckett begins flailing at the security personnel. It takes all of them to restrain and carry Beckett down the hall. At one point, he grabs hold of two waiting room chairs, but the whole lot is dragged down the hall to a clearly marked exit. As he is dragged out of the exit, Snow and Pantaro are walking by and seem overly amused at what is happening.)
Pantaro: "Not to worry, amigo; I'm in your corner!"
(Beckett plants his feet against the door frame and lunges at the two masked wrestlers, but is just barely held back by security, who finally force him out of the building while the friends smother with laughter.)

***The scene opens in the one and only PWA Arena, where a capacity crowd of 1,800 cheering fans has packed the iconic stadium in anticipation of the last televised Prestige Wrestling Association live event of the season. There is a palpable energy in the air, as the fans bask in the afterglow of the Rise of Kings, PWA’s inaugural supercard. As the last of the PWA Armada files into the arena, PWA Announcer Gary Bloomfield checks in on commentary.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Welcome fans, once again to the PWA Arena, where the entire wrestling universe is still in shock over the earthshaking events of PWA Rise of Kings! New champions were crowned, old rivalries were settled, and legends were born. If you haven’t seen Rise of Kings yet, I don’t even know what to tell you. In this broadcaster’s humble opinion… you’d be hard pressed to find a better top to bottom supercard anywhere in the world. As we get ready to take a well-earned break and begin preparations for PWA’s second season, we come to you one final time to celebrate the amazing year of pro wrestling that was. Later tonight, we’ll be hearing from all our wonderful champions, but first…”
***Gary Bloomfield is cut off mid-sentence as he is interrupted by some familiar music blasting across the arena loudspeakers.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Wait a minute… I recognize that music. Let’s head down to ringside!”

***Suddenly, Scream explodes over the arena sound system, as the arena’s giant LED screen flashes THE HARD MAN and pyros explode at the entrance ramp. A few moments later, the arena erupts in cheers as Robert MacElroy steps into the entrance area, dressed in his favorite They Live t-shirt, a red kilt, and wrestling boots and makes his way down the entrance ramp.***
BLOOMFIELD: “The HARD MAN Robert MacElroy had an amazing showing at the Rise of Kings. He opened the evening by absolutely dominating the Heavyweight Battle Royale, and then went on to have a jaw-dropping match with Kevin Starr in our main event of the evening. He may not have walked away that night as the PWA Heavyweight Champion, but there can be no doubt that the heart and soul of Prestige Wrestling is the proud Scottish warrior.”
***MacElroy climbs the steel stairs to the ring apron and looks about, the fans roaring. A broad grin on his face, the Hard Man leaps over the top rope, his kilt flying a bit, and he lands nimbly, turning about, arms wide, basking in the good will of the audience. He takes the mic and begins to speak, but the fans roar, chanting "Hard Man *clap-clap-clap*, Hard Man *clap-clap-clap*," and he waits for things to die down again.***
MACELROY: "Howarryes all?" (fans cheer) "Weall, Aye moust sea, t'is been a fyne saeson'eere at PWA, has i' not?" (crowd reaction) "Aye, sure, Aye'm nae wearrin' tha bealt ... yet ... (fans cheer) "Aye've many people te thank fourr helpin' me along thas farr, most raescen'ly a trreannerr an' a parrtnearr, tha Shooterr an' Ronnie Lassitearr. "An' acourrse, you fans -" (moorre- er, more cheering,) "You lot ha' got mee trrew tha wearrst of i'. ***The fans chant MacElroy’s name over and over and he nods to the crowd. But suddenly, the arena loudspeakers erupt with a familiar refrain, and MacElroy turns toward the entrance ramp with a quizzical expression on his face.***

***Suddenly, the arena explodes in high energy music and pyrotechnics. Robert MacElroy turns to face the entrance ramp with his hands on his hips and an eyebrow raised. After a moment, Tiger Gold appears at the entrance area with a microphone in his hand. He is holding the back of his neck with his other hand and is walking stiffly, wincing with each step.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Ladies and Gentlemen, as you all know, Tiger Gold was believed by many to be the favorite to win the PWA Heavyweight title at Rise of Kings. He earned the right to come into the match in the coveted eighth slot, and seemed well on his way to advancing to the main event. However that was not to be as Robert MacElroy eliminated his long-standing rival in spectacular fashion, knocking Tiger Gold unconscious with a vicious Spring-Heeled Jack in the closing moments of the battle royale. Tiger Gold was not able to leave ringside under his own power, and as I understand it, he suffered some sort of severe neck trauma from the maneuver. Frankly, I’m surprised he’s on his feet right now, let alone here at the arena.”
***As Tiger Gold gingerly makes his way to ringside, he raises his microphone and begins to speak.***
GOLD: “Robert MacElroy… last night you showed yourself to be a true immortal. Never in my life have I witnessed a more amazing display of fighting spirit. Men have beaten me before… but prior to the Rise of Kings, I have always had the strength to leave the ring on my feet with my head held high. At Rise of Kings… that strength failed me. With a swift and brutal hand, you brought a mighty warrior to his knees… and then went on to fight again in the greatest exhibition of strength I have ever seen. I am not ashamed to admit that on that night… you were the better man. You may not have left Rise of Kings with the title… but now and forever more, you have my respect and admiration.”
***Tiger Gold rolls carefully into the ring and stands face to face with Robert MacElroy. He extends his hand in a show of respect… and after a moment, Robert MacElroy returns the gesture. The two warriors lock eyes as they shake hands. After a few moments, MacElroy moves to pull away, but is held fast by Gold’s grip.***
GOLD: “But that was then. Now… we enter a new chapter in PWA. The Natural Kevin Starr now holds a championship worthy of an immortal. And after our encounter at Rise of Kings… I know that any path I have toward winning that ultimate glory… must go through you.”
***Gold releases his grip as MacElroy smiles and flexes the fingers on his hand. MacElroy nods and looks at the crowd.***
MACELROY: "Aye look foorwearrd tew i', Gould."
***Without warning, the arena sound systems explode with a familiar theme, interrupting MacElroy mid-sentence. MacElroy and Gold turn to face the entrance ramp with a look of annoyance on their faces.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Oh my goodness, I know that music. It looks like Akira Wyld is on his way down to the ring!”

***Blue and silver laser lights criss-cross a smoke-filled stage as The Surgical Specialist, Akira Wyld makes his way out onto the entrance area and down the ramp toward the ring. Inside the ring, Robert MacElroy and Tiger Gold exchange a confused look and square themselves for a confrontation. Akira rolls under the ropes and shakes his head as he paces back and forth in the ring. He calls to a ringside stage hand, who throws him a microphone.***
BLOOMFIELD: “The Surgical Specialist had an impressive showing at the Rise of Kings battle royale, but fell short when Tiger Gold made him tap out to the Tiger Breaker.”
***Wyld stops pacing and eyes both MacElroy and Gold with disgust.***
WYLD: “Alright, that’s enough of that. You two muscle-bound meatheads can stop patting each other on the back and you can both get the hell out of my ring... because I have some hard truths to lay down here that you’re not going to like. You see… it doesn’t matter how either of you try to spin it, you two both LOST at Rise of Kings. Tiger Gold… you got dropped on your head by this highland half-wit and didn’t even wake up until the supercard was over. And MacElroy… you don’t even have a concussion as an excuse this time. You won the battle royale. That means you HAD your chance at the main event, and the Heavyweight title… and you choked in front of the world. You two have no claim whatsoever to getting another shot at that title. It’s time you both stepped aside and let me show this organization what a true champion really looks like!”
***Tiger Gold advances on Akira Wyld with a snarl on his face.***
GOLD: “These are mighty words coming from a man who submitted to my Tiger Breaker in the middle of the ring at Rise of Kings.”
***Wyld shoots Gold a disdainful look and goes nose to mask with the bronze warrior.***
WYLD: “You think you have me all figured out don’t you big man? You think I’m going to moan and cry about being treated unfairly at the Rise of Kings. Well guess what? I lost. I’m man enough to admit that I tapped out to that stupid second-rate torture-rack of yours. Everybody knows that my back has been shot ever since that trust-fund hitman Richard Pennyworth dropped me back-first on a steel chair. It’s no secret that there are a lot of moving parts in a battle royale, and in such an unpredictable match, sometimes the impossible can happen. So yeah, at Rise of Kings, I lost. But if you think I’m going to waste one moment crying about that, then you don’t know Akira Wyld. You see, I’m a forward thinker. I look ahead and find the most clear-cut path to getting what I deserve.”
MACELROY: "An' what, prray, wiuld tha' bee, wee'n?"
WYLD: “I deserve a damn one-on-one match for the world title. Face the facts Hard Man. I’ve beaten Starr, you, and Tiger Gold in one-on-one matches. That’s just math… I’m the only clear number one contender here!”
***Just then, the arena loudspeakers erupt yet again with familiar theme music. Wyld, Gold, and MacElroy all turn to the entrance ramp.***

***Suddenly, Richard Pennyworth III appears at the entrance ramp wearing a three-piece suit. He shakes his head and smiles. While the wrestlers in the ring look on, Pennyworth walks toward the ring and raises a microphone to speak.***
“You know, Akira, in your time here you’ve done nothing but whine and twist facts. You take credit for your occasional successes and blame everyone but yourself for your failures. But for once, I actually agree with your logic. You did beat all of those men in the ring in singles matches. So, logically, that would make you the primary candidate for the number one contenders slot.
Unless, of course, there was someone, say, who had beat YOU in a singles match. Who has never succumbed to the Surgical Strike or the Akira Lock. And come to think of it, there IS someone like that in PWA, isn’t there? Wait, wouldn’t that be me? So, Akira, by your logic, that should make me the number one contender, shouldn’t it?”
***Pennyworth makes it to the ring and goes nose to nose with Akira Wyld. Wyld smirks and waves a hand dismissively at Pennyworth.***
WYLD: “Man I’ve heard some bullcrap in my time… but Pennyworth, you take the cake. You couldn’t beat me on your best day in a fair fight!”
“Despite what your twisted mind may tell you Akira, what we had was a fair fight. You brought in the chair, not me. I never touched it. If you didn’t have the ring presence to avoid it, that’s on you, not me. In my mind, I’m the only man in this company that you haven’t proven you CAN defeat. Akira, you have it backwards. You. Couldn’t. Beat. Me. Not even when you were at 100 percent.”
WYLD: “Don’t think I can’t see what you’re doing Pennyworth… you’d love to get me in that ring again so you and the rest of Damion Black’s “Yacht Club” cronies can ambush me and take me out once and for all! Well here’s what I have to say about that…”
***Wyld winds up to throw a haymaker at Pennyworth, only to have his arm intercepted by Robert MacElroy, who flashes a toothy grin at Wyld.***
MACELROY: "Biy, if thearre's any throwin' te bee doune hearre, Wylde, you'rre tha fiarrst."
***Wyld pulls his arm away from MacElroy and the four men in the ring square off.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Oh my! This situation has taken a turn! Are we going to see a replay of the Rise of Kings Heavyweight Battle Royal right here tonight in the PWA Arena?”

***Without warning, the arena lights suddenly lower, and out over the stadium sound system, a familiar voice shouts, “TAP OUT, OR KNOCK OUT?”. Pyrotechnics on the stage explode and the arena erupts with the theme song of Brian Fury. The four wrestlers in the ring take a step back and exchange a look of confused anticipation. A moment later, Brian Fury steps onto the entrance stage and marches purposefully toward the ring.***
BLOOMFIELD: “Oh my god! It’s Brian Fury! We haven’t seen him since he was choked out in the heavyweight battle royal by Nakamura Yamasaki! Folks, I don’t think Fury came here to talk!”
*** With no microphone in hand, Fury advances toward the ringside areas as the crowd cheers wildly. Without skipping a beat, Fury rolls under the bottom ring rope and leaps to his feet in the ring. Akira Wyld and Richard Pennyworth exchange a look and rush at Fury… only to be flattened by a pair of massive clotheslines. From across the ring, MacElroy charges at Fury and gets speared out of his boots in the center of the ring. Fury rises to his knees and lets out a primal roar, as Tiger Gold grabs him by his shoulders and attempts to stand him up. Fury throws his shoulders back, sending Tiger Gold careening across the ring where he lands hard on his back and shoulders, and rolls to the far corner clutching his injured neck. Suddenly, a revived Pennyworth clubs Fury from behind, sending him careening to a nearby turnbuckle. Akira Wyld follows up with a hard knee to Fury’s jaw. Wyld throws up his hands in victory, only to have Robert MacElroy level him with a stiff right. Moments later, all four men are brawling uncontrollably in the ring.***
BLOOMFIELD: “My god, this is insanity! The PWA Heavyweight division has exploded! We’re just three wrestlers shy of a virtual repeat of the chaos and action we saw in the Rise of Kings battle royale! We… hang on a minute folks… I’m just getting word from backstage that… yes… yes… folks we’re going to take you backstage right now. It looks as if this chaos isn’t just limited to our ringside area!”

***The cameras cut backstage just in time to see The Chosen One, Rhett Holiday careen across the screen and crash into a cart of folding chairs with a loud crash. Holiday collapses in a heap on the ground, cursing and holding his back. The camera pulls back to reveal Nakamura Yamasaki is also laid out on the ground, face-down and unconscious. The view pans to the left to reveal a pair of boots. The camera pulls back to reveal Johnny Ecks standing over the fallen heavyweights, breathing heavily with a sly smile on his face. He turns to look behind him, where a backstage monitor is showing footage of the chaos in the ring. He nods silently at the violent scene playing out on the screen and points a finger gun at the monitor.***
ECKS: “Next season boys… next season.”
***Johnny Ecks steps over the fallen wrestlers and walks casually down the hall, whistling.***

*As the wrestlers continue to engage each other in and around the ring, the familiar drum licks and over-driven guitar riff of "Mr. Bombastic" blares over the PA. Out onto the entry ramp struts the PWA Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Starr, dressed into the nines in a custom black and gold tuxedo with a purple shirt and, of course, the championship gold around his waist. He looks on for a moment, a broad smile on his face, watching the chaos in the ring until it slows down, each man therein carefully eyeing each other and the champion.*
STARR: Bravo! Everyone give it up for them! What a show y'all are puttin' on! Ya know, it's a shame all this doesn't mean a thing. I mean, y'all are all beating the tar out of each other, but it's not putting any of y'all closer to the title. MY title. None of y'all has the grit, the skills, or the raw power to take my belt from me. You can be a hard man, a mountain of Fury, or a bootleg *cough* Wyld *cough*, but none of that can top my Starr power! Now, go back to beating each other senseless!
*As his music hits again, Starr drops the mic and struts backstage*

***As Kevin Starr struts backstage, Akira Wyld jumps on a nearby turnbuckle and begins trash-talking Starr off-microphone. He broadly makes a title belt gesture toward his own waist and shakes a finger in Starr’s direction. Then suddenly, Richard Pennyworth grabs Wyld by the ankle forcing him to leap down to the mat. Wyld whips around to face Pennyworth just in time to eat a crisp dropkick, sending him tumbling over the top rope. Before he can celebrate his moral victory, Pennyworth turns around and is roughly clotheslined himself over the top rope by Tiger Gold, who quickly grabs his own neck and winces in pain from the effort. Moments later, Gold eats a vicious big boot by Brian Fury that sends him careening between the ropes to the floor, holding his head in agony. Brian Fury beats his chest and thrusts his arms in the air, and is promptly snatched up in a vicious spine buster by Robert MacElroy that crashes him to the canvas and sends him rolling out of the ring. The last man standing, MacElroy shakes his fists and runs around the ring yelling a primal warrior’s cry, as the other four competitors stumble around at ringside trying to collect themselves.***
BLOOMFIELD: “My god, what chaos! What action! What an inaugural season from PWA!! Folks, I’m Gary Bloomfield, and from all of us here to all of you at home, thank you for tuning in, thank for watching, and for the love of god, stay tuned… because all this has been just the tip of the iceberg! PWA Season 2 starts up in just a few short weeks! Goodnight everybody!”
***As the screaming fans continue to cheer, pyrotechnics explode at the corner posts… and the scene fades to black.***
