A red leather chair sits, its back to us, in front of a roaring fireplace. One hand rests over the arm of the chair, holding what appears to be a shot of some distilled beverage over ice. As the person in the chair starts speaking, the camera slowly revolves around to view him in profile, the flickering light of the fireplace revealing it to be Pennyworth.

PENNYWORTH: Another season of PWA, another journey. At the end of season four, I had the PWA Heavyweight Championship belt unceremoniously ripped from my hands by Brian Fury. I told him to keep it warm for me. To keep it ready. Well...it seems he was not quite up to that challenge. And now the title is held by Ronnie Lassiter. There is no doubting the dominance Lassiter has shown in this company. But I am not one to back down from a challenge. And he holds something that I see as rightfully mine.

PENNYWORTH: But...Lassiter is embroiled in Damion Black's conflict with the Wyld family and their associates. I just don't see myself coming down on either side of that particular clusterfuck. Akira and I have never seen eye to eye, and as for Black, I just don't like him. So, I'm going to stay out of that for now, and that means not challenging for my title back at this time. That being said, Ronnie. Any time you want to put my belt on the line against me, I'm game for it. Just because I'm not inserting myself doesn't mean I don't want it.

PENNYWORTH: But that brings me to my next line of thought. What is on the docket for Richard Pennyworth III during PWA Season Six? Damion Black tried to insert me into the barbarism that is the King of the Deathmatch tournament...and I told him where to shove it. I have no issues using a weapon when the situation demands it, but I'm certainly not going to put myself in harms way to that extent. I am a civilized grappler, and don't you forget it. But see, that really limits my options. I don't have many competitors who aren't involved in this tournament.

PENNYWORTH: And then I saw Assault. I watched as first Kevin Starr and then Robert MacElroy fell to their opponents. And all of a sudden, it came to me. In our first meeting, quite frankly, Kevin Starr whooped my ass. As for MacElroy, when I defeated him to earn my championship run, I thought it was a good match -- but then it was revealed that he had been injured the whole time. So, I want a piece of both of these men. To face them again. And then I thought...why just one match? So this is my proposition.

PENNYWORTH: How about the three of us, the three former PWA Heavyweight Champions still competing in PWA, meet in a bit of a round robin tournament of our own, purely for bragging rights. We each face the others one on one, and we finish it off with a good old fashioned triple threat match. And here's the kicker, the genius of the idea, if I can toot my own horn. If any of us comes out of the one on one matches with two wins, they get to come into the triple threat match after the other two have worn each other down for five minutes.

PENNYWORTH: What say you, gentlemen? I await your acceptance with bated breath.
