PWA Heavyweight Tournament

This just in from the Prestige Wrestling Association offices, details of the tournament to crown the first ever PWA Heavyweight Champion. Eight wrestlers in the heavyweight division will compete in a round-robin tournament over the course of seven weeks. After the tournament concludes, there will be a battle royal in a delayed format, where the two wrestlers who finished at the bottom of the round-robin tournament will begin the battle royal. Every 2 minutes, another wrestler will enter the battle royal in order determined by there tournament record, with the tournament's winner entering the battle royal last. Participants may be eliminated from the battle royal by pinfall or submission only. When two men are left standing the battle royal, that match will conclude and the two finalists will compete in a 2-of-3 falls match to become the very first PWA Heavyweight Champion.

The round robin tournament will begin on the January 26th edition of PWA Assault and will continue for a period of seven weeks, with each participant competing on each show. The battle royal and 2-of-3 falls match will take place at PWA's very first PPV show, entitled "Rise of Kings".
