Nick Spoils face dominates the screen.
NICK: Brian Fury, my boy. I warned you. I told you to back off. But you insisted. And you paid the price. First, you were pinned inside the ring -- 1, 2, 3. Defeated, soundly and cleanly. Afterwards, well...payback can be a bitch.
Speaking of payback. I have had to open my wallet now, on multiple occasions, thanks to Damion Black. Black, when Gehenna faces Fury next week, the rest of us will stay backstage. You have the right to demand that for the match. But the fine is completely bullshit and uncalled for.
The match between Fury and Ragnarok was not a no disqualification match. You know Fury. You know his temper. And you know what he can do. So, obviously, I instructed Nakamura and Gehenna to keep an eye out, as I did. And when Brian started to reach for the sickle he likes to hide, I had to alert Bill White. The others undoubtedly saw the same thing I did. The fact that you didn't only speaks to the fact that you no longer have what it takes. We prevented a travesty during that match. And after the match, we simply defended our stablemate.
And then...AND THEN. You had the temerity, the audacity, the GALL. You came out and reversed the decision. You awarded Brian Fury a victory. You gave the win to the cheater. That was the wrong call. And you compounded it by fining each of us fifty big ones. Look, the money isn't a huge deal. It stings, sure, but the real issue here is that the fine was completely without cause, without merit.
Damion, I warned you the first time, when you stripped my clients of their rightfully earned titles, and harmed the chances of the Coldsnakes of their rightfully earned shot against Armageddon. That one turned out the right way, thankfully. You escaped. This time...you did not.
The scene zooms out, showing that Spoils is in front of a law office, named "Greene, Readd, & White". He holds up an envelope.
NICK: In my hand right now, Damion, is a copy of a lawsuit that my lawyers and I have worked up. Neither my clients nor I will be paying your fine. And the decision you made to award Brian Fury the victory will be ignored. Or you will be paying heavily. How heavily, you ask?
Spoils smirks.
NICK: Let's just say...I wouldn't bet the company if I were you. But on to more exciting things. Next Assault, my client Gehenna faces off against Brian Fury in a no disqualification submission match. If there was a match better suited to Gehenna's strengths than this, I haven't heard of it. The brutality. The rage. In the end, Fury's screams of pain. Honestly, Brian. When was the last time you made ANYONE tap out? Submission matches are Gehenna's specialty. The Hades Lock is an exquisite pain like none you have ever felt. So when the end comes this time, and you are tapping out, losing yet again to one of my clients...just remember that YOU asked for this. I wanted to bring you back into the fold, Brian. But you wouldn't have it. You say all I care about is money? Brian, all I care about is my clients. That's what you never learned. And when they say that they want to take you apart, piece by piece because you need an object lesson? I listen. I protect them, like I did with filing this lawsuit against the fine and the victory vacancy. And finally, I give them the chances they need to win, like I did with the 2-Time PWA Tag Team Champions, Armageddon. You had that chance, Brian. You squandered it. And Brian -- when this is over, and you're waking up from the pain, just remember one thing. Remember that you could have walked away. That this pain, the injuries -- they are all YOUR fault.Statistics: Posted by Nick Spoils — Thu Jul 19, 2018 7:41 pm
