TERRY SCHNEIDER: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am here outside the backstage infirmary with Robert MacElroy, now Robert ... we just saw Snow, who I understand is inside the infirmary right now, was given a vicious beating by the current champion, Kevin Starr, after an exhibition bout. Do you know if he is alright?"

ROBERT MACELROY: "Tearry, from wha' Aye've hearrrd, Snow's leag is mourre'n a wee bit tendearr after tha' figure feaurr and the followin' ceaurrb-stompin' he got. The doc's yet te sea wheatherr ourr no he's te be teakin' tyme ou' fourrr healin', but Aye think he'll be arrright. Starr: Now this is why I cheer for the Saints. They set up a whole parade for me, to celebrate my championship! Woo!

And a champ with as much talent, as much power, or as much skill as me deserves a celebration like this! I proved at Rise of Kings when I outlasted every other man there to win this beautiful belt that I am the only one in PWA worthy of this title!

But now, here comes Snow, claiming to want to prove himself by callenging me. Watcha gonna do, flyboy? Run around the ring, bouncing like a pinball off of me and the ropes? Sure, sure. That'll work for a little while. Until I catch you. You can do anything you want, but none of it matters. You're going against a man you is superior to you mentally and physically. You don't have a chance, Snow.

*someone calls Starr, and he turns to the float and climbs on*

But look at the bright side! You get to be in a match with the one, the only, the CHAMPION, Kevin Starr! WOO!!

(Gary Bloomfield is in the PWA offices with his camera crew. As they head towards a studio with their equipment they see Brian Fury lurking in the hallway. Bloomfield motions for his crew to start filming.)

Bloomfield: Mr. Fury, may I have a moment of your time?

Fury: Make this REAL quick, Gary. I’m not in the mood to talk today.

Bloomfield: Sure thing. Did you hear the reply from Nick Spoils regarding your challenge to Yamasaki Nakamura?

Fury: Yeah I heard him.....and I accept. Nakamura’s MINE! It’s a shame Nick Spoils is a coward though. All this talk about how tough Nakamura is....what a bunch of CRAP! Let it be known that when Brian Fury called out the most DANGEROUS man in PWA he went crying to his manager and asked him to tone down the match!

(Fury turns towards the camera.)

Fury: Nakamura, all I need is you in front of me. Bell or no bell, ring or no ring, barb wire or no barb wire, I’m gonna put you in a body bag. No tap out for you....no knockout for you either.....JUST PAIN!!

(Fury storms past Gary Bloomfield and out of the door as the scene fades to black.)

Nick Spoils sits calmly at a desk, an array of paperwork in front of him. He sits silently for a long moment, looking directly at the camera.

NICK:
Brian, you and I go way back. I've said this before, but I harbor no hard feelings whatsoever for what went down with Jimmy and you back in the day. Business is business, after all, and one must let bygones be bygones. The fact of the matter, Brian, is that I like you. You were everything I look for in a competitor when I am scouting new talent. You were the total package, and your catch phrase is absolutely brilliant.

But did you know that in that battle royal, you made history? You were the first man in nearly a decade to lose to him. The last time someone lost to Nakamura? It was in an unsanctioned barbed wire match over in Japan. See, when the rules go out the window, and even more so when the environment itself is a weapon? Well, it's at those points that Yamasaki Nakamura is at his best. It is at those points that he simply cannot be defeated.

Worse than that, though, is that you got off lightly. The last man that Nakamura defeated hasn't wrestled another day in his life. I checked into his welfare when I was looking up the statistics on your defeat. As of two months ago, he was alive, but he was still in a wheelchair and breathing tubes. And it turns out, I actually do have a conscience. I know, I was surprised too.

Because of that, and for the sake of our past together, I simply cannot allow your challenge to be accepted. Nakamura understands where I am coming from, and while he nearly spit shards of glass at me when I explained it, he accepted my...more moderate proposal. Now it falls on you.

The carnage you seek will still make the ring red, Fury. Blood will be spilled. But instead of there being barbed wire lining the ring, let's make the match just a little more survivable for you. Let's just do a simple no disqualification match. We'll allow the two of you to go to town on each other--and unless I miss my guess, you'll both bring a weapon or two into play regardless. What do you say, Brian? Yamasaki Nakamura faces off against Brian Fury in a No Disqualification match. Bring your own weapon. Balls in your court.

Searching for Nakamura....

(The scene opens at night with Brian Fury leaning against a brick wall. A lone street light shines on Fury as he speaks.)

Fury: Rise of Kings...that was the night I planned on winning the World Title. That was going to be the night that everything I worked for all these years payed off. All of the broken bones, all the blood, all the sacrifice....all of it was leading me to the World Title. But I’m not the champion, Kevin Starr is.

Kevin, I’ll let you know right now that I’m going to be the man that takes that title from you! You’re looking at the most DOMINANT man in all of professional wrestling! But before I get to you Kevin, I need to take care of some business with Yamasaki Nakamura.

I BEAT Nakamura in our tournament match.....let me say that again.... I LEFT NO DOUBT that I was better than Nakamura!! During Rise of Kings, as I was taking people out left and right he snuck up behind me and used an illegal choke to knock me out. So now I want some payback....

Nick Spoils, let’s get right to it: Nakamura and I are the two best brawlers in PWA. He’s a tough guy, no question. But I’m calling Nakamura OUT! I want Nakamura in a barb wire match!! He’s been in my way too long so just let us fight and get it over with. To get closer to Starr I need to eliminate Nakamura anyway so why not kill two birds with one stone? The only thing is I will put Nakamura out of this sport FOR GOOD!!

Spoils, what’s it gonna be? Does Nakamura have the GUTS to face me or is he gonna find an excuse? PWA doesn’t have to even sanction the bout. Just get him in the ring with me and I’ll do the rest....

( Fury steps back and fades into the darkness as the scene fades.)

Looking Bigger -- Calling out the Champ

A video plays showing highlights of the Career vs Mask match at Rise of Kings. It finishes with Snow pinning Beckett, followed by Beckett's tantrum as he is led out of the arena.

SNOW:
At Rise of Kings, I did what I set out to do. I took Brawler Beckett on in this ring, and proved that hard work and clean wrestling can beat the cheap shots and shortcuts. I pinned him in the middle of the ring.

I ended his career.

Some might ask why I'm not celebrating more. After all, that was the whole point of my contention with Bart Beckett, wasn't it? Those people are missing the point. I never wanted this. It was not my goal when PWA started to kick him out of the company. Beckett has loads of skill and talent, I just don't approve of how he uses it. My goal in this whole thing wasn't to end a man's career. No, it was to reform the man.

And in that...I failed. I fell back upon removing him instead of working harder to reform him. Am I happy that I won? Of course. But I'm disappointed in the results nonetheless.

Still.

Now that Beckett is gone, it is time for me to set my next goal. What should my next goal be?

The PWA Light Heavyweight Championship, of course, right? I mean, Pantaro is my friend, and he'd give me a shot at the gold in a heartbeat. Well, that may be, but that's not how I want to get the title. If I get it around my waist, I want to have earned my shot, not had it handed to me. Pantaro and I may well put on a barn burner in the future, but for now, it pains me to admit, there are those who are more deserving of the title chance. Jack Lane put on a hell of a show at Rise of Kings, and with him wanting a one on one shot? I honestly cannot wait to see that match.

So, what else? The PWA Tag Team Championship...except, of course, Pantaro is, as I have previously noted, somewhat busy. There may come a day when the Blood Brothers take on Armageddon, or the Coldsnakes, or someone else, and win Tag Team gold. But that day is not today.

But there is another belt in PWA. I'm not going to try to win the Heavyweight championship for oh so many reasons. But there appears to be a bit of a logjam in determining who the number one contender is going to be, and while that sorts itself out, it appears that Kevin Starr may be in much the same situation I am. So, let it be known right here and right now -- Snow is calling out Kevin Starr.

Look, I'm not asking for a title shot. I'm not even asking for the shot if I somehow manage a win. I'm looking for a fun bout with nothing on the line, something to cleanse the spirit. Champion versus...well, me, I guess. What do you say, Kevin? Fancy a little challenge?

(Jack Lane sits on a chair in a gym. Sweat drips from his face as he grabs a towel. Lane wipes the sweat from his face and flings the towel off camera as he begins to speak.)

Lane: Pantaro, pride can get the best of us sometimes but this isn’t one of those times. Looking back at what I said to you I can admit that I was wrong about you pinning me. I was so ANGRY about the situation I wasn’t careful with my words and for that..... I apologize. But that is the ONLY thing I apologize for!

You want me to shake your hand if you beat me? No problem, my man. If you beat me then I will have no problem with that. But you and I know that’s not gonna happen, right? You make think I’m “Insane in the Membrane” but I’ve got it all together. Go back and watch the match again, Pantaro. Go back and check how the referee immediately called for the bell as I was BREAKING your Mexican Surfboard!! It’s all good though......

(Lane stands and walks towards the camera.)

Lane: The bottom line is that I accept your challenge!! You and I will go one on one to see just who is the best. No excuses, just results. It may not seem like it but I do have respect for you Pantaro. You stepped up to the plate and you’re willing to put the title on the line like a champion. I respect that a lot. It’s just too bad you won’t be able to walk out of our match as champion because I’m going to prove to the WORLD that the best wrestler on the PLANET isn’t Pantaro, it’s Jack Lane! Respect is the name of the game and when we meet I’m gonna get my RESPECT!!

(Scene fades to black.)

*Pantaro turns and grabs a water bottle and takes drink, then he turns to the camera.*

PANTARO: "Rise of Kings was a historic night. Champions were proven, careers were changed forver. Destinies were fulfilled. So many strong competitors, it's a shame there could be so few winners. Jack Lane, I understand your frustration. You are a gifted wrestler, a talented athlete, and a very proud young man. You have a tremendously bright future, but a word of caution, mi amigo: pride can blind your vision and cloud your memory.

"You claim I stayed back and waited for an opportunity to strike. I did choose my shots, and I measured every blow, but make no mistake. I competed every bit as hard as Arzon, Watts, and yourself. You imply that I caught you by surprise with a quick pin. Maybe your pride will not let you admit what happened, but you submitted. You tapped out. You gave up. And now you accuse me of being a coward? Of taking an easy road while my opponents went full bore? Most men might be offended, but I admire you fire and your spirit. You wish to prove you are the best., so do we all. As for your challenge.... keep your gold chain. I reject your challenge.

"I do not fight for gold. I do not fight to take advantage of others. I fight for honor and to preserve the integrity of our sport. So, allow me to make a challenge of my own. You and I will wrestle. I will put my gold on the line; The PWA Light Heavyweight Championship, in a 2 out of 3 Falls match. This is your chance to show everyone that you are champion. If you win, you are the Light Heavyweight Champion. But if you lose, then you shake my hand like a man and admit that I am a man of honor. I await your answer."

A challenge to Pantaro

(The scene opens in front of a PWA banner. “Insane” Jack Lane stands in his wrestling gear with gold chains around his neck holding a microphone.)

Lane: Rise of Kings.....Light Heavyweight title match....That belt was MINE!!

Pantaro, I want you to listen real well. You pinned me at Rise of Kings to win the Light Heavyweight title and you’re probably feeling REAL good about it, homie. Probably feeling like you got PWA on LOCK!! Nah homie, what we have is a real beef, ya dig?

(Lane pauses and is agitated. Lane looks down at the floor and then stares into the camera.)

Lane: I pinned Derrick Arzon! I pinned Spencer Watts! All you did was hang loose and BARELY got a pin on me after I beat 2 men in 1 match!! Don’t forget that to even GET to this match I beat your PARTNER in the ring. You haven’t shown the world you’re the best, you’ve just shown you’re an opportunist. Is THAT why you hide behind that mask, playa?

The fact of the matter is I KNOW that I can beat you one on one!! All I need is for you to get in the ring with me and fight me face to face instead of “creeping” like TLC!! Tell you what I’ll do....

(Lane bends down and takes off his gold chains. He holds the chains up with his left hand while holding the microphone with his right hand.)

Lane: I got these gold chains hustling a dude who thought he was better than me. Thought he could beat me because he was bigger than me. Faster than me. I. PROVED. HIM. WRONG!! Now these chains are mine. Pantaro, I want you in a match one on one! You can even leave the belt at home for this match. I want to prove to YOU and the rest of the WORLD that I am the best in the world! If I beat you....take that back.....WHEN I BEAT YOU.... I want a title shot somewhere down the line. If you beat me.....these chains are yours! You like gold, don’t ya? Isn’t that why you stayed low while the REST OF US actually FOUGHT? To make sure you walked away with GOLD?

Pantaro, what’s it gonna be? You gonna stay masked up in the shadows or are you gonna face me like a MAN?

YOUR PWA Tag Team Champions

Camera opens on Nick Spoils, dressed rather more black-tie than usual. He stands in front of a backdrop reminiscent of a red carpet affair, blanketed with logos from a few of PWA's sponsors.

NICK: Ladies And Gentlemen. It is now my DISTINCT pleasure to introduce you to PWA's FIRST and ONLY Tag Team Champions. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you...ARRRRRRRMAGEDDON!

Ragnarok and Gehenna walk into frame, as the camera zooms out a little to get them both in frame. Both men are in ring attire. Gehenna has the belt around his waist, while Ragnarok has it in one fist, almost as if he's ready to use it as a weapon.

NICK: Yes, that's right. Despite the inferior team that Damion Black decided to saddle my boys with, who could generously be described as only a moderate hindrance, Armageddon came through victorious. Proving themselves, as I have said time and time again, the top team in PWA. Proving that none can stand against them. PROVING that they stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Now, that said, in management's ill-advised little tournament at Rise of Kings, it seems that they saw fit to name a top contending team for Armageddon's titles. Honestly, it's beyond me as to why they believe ANY team in this company could stand up to these two right here, but so be it. Now as for this team, Let me talk to you on your level here for a minute.

Ahem.

Yo, Ice Cobras, or whatever you're called. We've seen how desperate you are for cash. You can't afford to pay the hospital bills you'll suffer when you take us on in the ring. Walk away now, and we'll play nice and forget you were ever in the conversation.

Did I do that right? Regardless, the point stands. Walk away now, and Armageddon will stand tall as the rightful champions, and you can go on being the little peons, the peasants, the, the wannabes that you are. But persist in pushing your claim against us, and you will suffer the consequences. Things might even get a little...Psychotic. You've been warned.

Nick walks out, followed by Armageddon. The camera remains focused on the backdrop for a moment when Yamasaki Nakamura enters the frame. He pauses, turns to the camera, and slowly takes out a sickle. He rakes it across the back of one hand, drawing blood, which he wipes across his own face. Another pause, and he follows the others out of frame.
